"A New Twist in PROJECT RUNWAY, SEASON 3"
If any of you have been monitoring the news...here is what has happened (AND TONIGHTS EPISODE ALONG WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THIS SEASONS WINNER, COULD BE EXPLOSIVE)

HERE IS ONE REFERENCE:
----------------------------
jeffrey Sebelia, 36, known to viewers for his throat tattoo, was accused by fellow contestant Laura Bennett of seeking help for basic sewing, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

'We took the accusations very seriously, and we did a very thorough investigation,' Bravo`s Tim Gunn said.

A spokeswoman for the show said the results of the investigation would be revealed on Wednesday night`s episode of the reality competition among up-and-coming fashion designers.

Contestant Keith Michael was ejected from the show last month for a rules violation.

----------------------------------

Apparently, based on stories found at other websites/fashion magazines on the web, Laura's mother and Jeffrey's mother became friends....whatever that may entail? (for the sake of knowing women..they talked) When Tim went to visit Jeffrey, according to the various websites, Jeffrey had an abundance of sewing to do...

Whatever happened in between...made Laura think Jeffrey outsourced his sewing which is a big NO NO...against the rules and Bravo, which has not revealed its investigation yet and hopefully will tonight or at the on the 18th which has already been taped...begs the question:

Did she make this announcement after Project Runway announced THEIR winner...possibly meaning SHE didn't win and maybe Jeffrey DID??? and based on the knowledge she had, she thought (an rightfully so) he should not have gotten the grand prize.

or did she make it before they announced the winner...?

I have looked at Jeffrey's website...(Does anyone know if that was there before Project Runway?) it is pretty darn slick and expensive....

Feel free to jump into the conversation and add your two cents, knowledge about the situation, and if you have a spoiler...I wouldn't mind knowing myself.

What a season but OH what a show!!! Best entertainment on tv.

It's a great show!! If Laura has the proof of this, show it!
Otherwise, she's just being a victim of the hormones! Sorry... JMHO...

She's got a point though. His other stuff was never ever that put together. Look at his body of work. All "rock star" ripped up looking stuff. If you see the other post that has a link to the pics of the show, his stuff doesn't look like that at all.

She defended Jeffrey during the You-Dissed-Angela's-Mom portion of the reunion show, which points to her NOT being biased or bitter towards him; perhaps she made a merited comment and the "investigation" blossomed from there.

I thought it was interesting that none of the "alumni" pegged Jeffrey for the win, almost as if he were...eliminated?

As to Jeffrey's web site, let's not forget he's supposedly the design head of a company called Cosa Nostra (or something like that), so he may have had the resources to build and run a great looking web site.

It also wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility that Jeffrey also did outsource some of his basic sewing work to Cosa Nostra seamstresses on the sly. Not to imply the company is a sweatshop, but I'm assuming a seamestress would do as he or she was told to ensure keeping a job

I thought that outsourcing sewing was okay, as long as workers were paid out of the design budget. If I remember correctly, Jay from S1 had someone do some knitting (or crocheting or whatever it's called) for him and paid them to do it.
I figured that as long as the designer created the designs, he could pay someone else to sew for him, unless they've changed the rules as a result of the KaraSan disaster from that season.

IMO, Laura is just being a witch and trying to get any advantage she can.

I think the difference between what Jay did in season one is that he outsourced knitwear; the assumption remains that he did every stitch that appeared on the fabric clothes himself. So I do believe if anyone else did a bit of sewing on a garment, it might be a grounds for disqualification.

Tricky thing would be how to prove it ever happened.

Jeffrey explained what exactly he sent out-he explained that all to Tim tonight, and what he did was NOT illegal!

And, like he said, some of the work he DID do, would have cost hundreds of dollars, which he didn't have, to get outsourced.

I do not believe he is lying-I really think Laura is just being more than a little paranoid because she wants to win this more than anything-college money for her six kids?? I don't know.

All I know is I hope she apologizes if she is wrong, or her reputation may very well be on the line and her business could suffer. But then, Jeffrey has been such a black horse and, in MY opinion a whipping post, for this entire season, so maybe not many will even care.....I CARE, JEFFREY!!!

I think part of it is the fact that Jeffery had NOTHING to do when he got back to NY. All of the other designers had finish work to do be it a button on a dress or bugel Beed on a jacket but Jeffery was sitting twiddling his thumbs. I think that is what got the others started IMHO.

Wouldn't one expect Jeffery, a professional, be prepared before arrivng in NY?

His puts out his own line so would know more than the others that things need/should be completed.

He has been in the business I thought 10 years or so whereas the rest are just now trying to get in?

Sorry Misty, but you mean "black sheep" and "whipping boy" in regards to Jeffrey.

But it's typical that every season has to have a "bad boy" character with a heart of gold. It was a bit touching to hear Jeffrey enthuse about his son. Didn't change my impression of him -- nasty, nasty man.

And we all know Laura will NOT apologize for anything; why should she? She merely spoke aloud what, according to the show, what Michael and Uli were thinking.

I actually think that Laura will get the brunt of this even though Michael was saying and thinking the same thing.

I think Jeffrey will win because his clothes are so bizzare. His are the only clothes that I'd never buy. They are just wierd to me. I Loved a few of Michaels out fits. I loved Laura's clothing and the last dress Ulli's (sp) made was great. The only dress of Jeffs I even liked, was long yellow dress. Other than that, YUKE!

He'll win becuz his clothes are so wierd!

I'd wear Michaels & Laura's clothes!
