3. "Model Shakeup" |
According to the pics, we have Marilinda with Jeffrey, Camilla with Laura, Nazri with Uli(!), and Clarissa with Michael.So, I guess there was a model shakeup at the final 4. I guess that since Laura won the last challenge, she chooses to stay with Camilla, Jeffrey stays with Marilinda, but Uli gets to choose before Michael, and she chooses Nazri. Nazri was Uli's model when the models got to choose designers for the icon challenge, and she lost Nazri when she chose Michael. So Michael chooses Clarissa. I guess she was on the runway because she modeled for Angela in the last challenge. I don't know what happens to Lindsey (Uli's model that helped her win the dog challenge). There is talk/rumor on other PR sites that there may not be an elimination at final 4. Heidi apparently hinted (on The View?)that there may not be just 3 finalists. So it's possible that all 4 are eligible to win. If there is an elimination at final 4, it's not Uli, IMO. If Uli had Nazri at final 4, then was eliminated, you know Michael would get Nazri back, if given the chance. But that doesn't mean that Michael was eliminated at final 4 either. I just think it's a good sign for Uli.

I notice that Michael, Uli, and Jeffrey all have at least one bathing suit in their collection. I went back to check Laura's but I didn't see a swimsuit in her collection, as far as I could tell. Possible final challenge, a la the 13th dress last season?Of the four, I think Michael's was by far the best, although I did like Laura's, particularly this little number:

That swimsuit thing is probably right on. I bet Laura goes next, we'll know as soon as the last challenge is announced. I did like Laura's line, very much. However, the fact that it's all B&W also makes me think she is the one who goes 4th.I do like the idea of all 4 going to the finals. Uli's looks the best. It's Uli, but diverse enough to be satisfying and the most attractive. Unlike previous poster, I felt both women had better lines than either guy. Michael was disappointing. He's done better on challenges than what I see in his line. Now I am not so sure he'll win. Jeffrey's line was the worst. As noted above, his models look pregnant. Jeffrey's own outfit, however, is cool. I think he does better clothes for himself than for his models.

Thanks for the links! I'm so disappointed in Michael's collection. I thought it was awful and some pieces were really tasteless. I'm surprised that I liked Uli's the best overall. There were a couple of Laura's pieces that I also liked, but her collection looks like it's for fall, not spring. Jeffrey's design ideas are all okay, but execution isn't so great. Fit is a major problem (blue dress, UGH!) and I agree that several of his garments made the size 2 models look considerably bigger.

LOVE Ulis' line. Also love Jeffreys'. Do not like Michaels' line. Lauras' line is beautiful but frighteningly serious.

Ummmm...did anyone notice that black dress that Heidi was wearing? Talk about unflatering.....she looked so poofy. Next time I hear her talk about someone's outfit making a woman's body look unflatering I'm going to pull out my hair.

Hmmm, I think my taste pretty much differs frome everyone else's here.Love, love, love Laura's collection. There's not a thing there I wouldn't wear. Just beautiful. I kind of like Michael's. If Laura isn't one of the final 3, then I think his should win. It's all a little too young and revealing for me, but there are some pieces I'd totally go for. Uli's is just more of the same for her. There are one or two dresses I'd wear on a cruise, but it's all just too similar to everything she's done already. I haven't been a huge fan and I'm still not. Jeffrey's is just hideous. I wouldn't be caught dead in any of it. And, yes, fit is obviously a problem for him. When the model looks fat, that is not a good thing.

OK, that makes sense. My favorite designer is Liz Claiborne--Claiborne for Men. I'm almost 56 so none of the young stuff for me, although I do shop among the young men's clothes for stuff that I think I can wear, mainly because the younger stuff is a lot more diverse and interesting than clothes made for men my age. I also really like to wear men's jewelry and the best stuff is what the younger guys are wearing, so I go for that. A lot of that jewelry is a throwback to the seventies.

I wonder if they all get to show; Heidi says something about not being committed to a final three in the preview.Anyhoo, I like stuff in each collection and loathe stuff in each collection. I did not like Michael's as much as I thought I would. He sure ran ran ran with that hotpant thang. Laura's is classic to the point of boring. Uli's is Uli's ... I still love her fabrics, though. Jeffrey is the most fashion forward. I think I have to see how they look on the runway - it is always different when you see the dresses move, somehow. I am okay with this final four, though -- all of those collections were more intriguing to me than Chloe's Bridesmaid-O-Rama from last season.

why are people surprised with Michaels' taste, wasn't he the one doing black burn out fabric leather trimmed underwear? No need to answer that, I know he was. Some of Jeffreys' line was soft and beautiful. Glad others didn't see Cloes' line as anything other than strange brides maid-like. I have already said I'm for Uli and Jeffrey! As an aside, I can really tell from Lauras line that she does like Halloween, even though I do like her style.
