Backster 14 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Got Milk? Spokesperson" 04-11-06, 03:46 PM (EST) "Project Catwalk" So, did anyone catch the UK version - it just hit Canada last night for the first time and started out with a Garden Party - complete with a trip to a garden store to find materials for a garden party dress, just like in Project Runway 2. It aired in the UK in 2006. The UK also has Season Two with Kelly Osbourne as the host that aired in 2007. But I have not seen that one yet. And Julian just contradicts himself alot. What he likes one week he hates the next, etc. I think he just wants a reason to complain. "RE: Project Catwalk" I had read the order of finish of the final 3 before I watched the finale. After seeing Wayne's collection which was first I was surprised he won. Then I saw Monica and Luke and I realized Wayne won because his was the best of the 3. But I was disapointed with all of them. Monica kept using that ugly blouse over and over in her collection. It was boring and old fashioned. Luke's was just ugly. He never finished anything because he was always too detailed about everything. I think it's interesting that their mentor Ben gets to be a judge this season. I always remember Tim Gunn saying he should never be a judge because he could not be objective since he works with them. I have always thought Ben was rather a drama queen. He gets his feelings hurt alot by the contestants. So I am not sure how he will be objective judging them when he also mentors them. They have a couple Canadians this season in the cast. And I liked the group of designers. Should be an interesting season. I did not think Ross deserved to win. He inserts his opinions too much during the 'mentoring' process to be a fair judge. Can't believe I am going to say it, but I miss Julian MacDonald. He may have been slightly bi-polar in his judging process but he has fashion cred. Ross as the winner? It was a blouse and skirt made out of designer clothing (ie. nice fabric!). And I am still not liking Ben as a mentor/judge. I blame him more than Viv for the helping her. He would happily redo alot of the outfits if the contestants would let him. He has his style and wants it like he wants it. Ross getting so drunk and blabbing on and on kind of amused me because he was so sure he was going to win. Then he didn't even get a mention. I won't really miss him. I can't remember anything he did that I really liked that much. I think Jasper might have a good chance at winning this. He is very talented and seems to have toned down his cockiness. Viv continues to want help. That might be the end of her. She has talent but needs guidance all the time. I was terribly distracted by that thing on Ross' head for the first half of the show. LOL! I don't really have a favourite. Seems like different designers impress me from week to week. Jasper helped Chelsea out with the models and then they ended up being top 2. With Chelsea winning her first challenge. Sorry to see Clinton go. I liked him and most of his designs. They just were always the wrong type for the challenge. But he made nice stuff. I would have rather seen Viv go home. I am so over her. I think Ben must of really pleaded her case for this. He has always liked Viv and wanted to help her. I felt bad for Katy. At least Ross went home but he should have went home last week. Why they dragged it out I don't know. I still think they did not boot anyone last week because they were trying to find a way to save Viv. Nice that both the Canadians made it to the finale. Hopefully one of them will beat Viv. Preferably both of them with her going out 3rd. In the final episode of the series, Viv, Chelsey and Japser showcased their twelve piece collections. Jasper's collection absolutely took my breath away. I thought it was freaking amazing! I agree with Kelly that some of it was over the top, but most of it was wearable. He is going places!!!!!!! Viv's fit so badly. The collection was okay, but not one item fit the model. Very bad. Chelsea's was okay. The two pieces with the fuzzy neck pieces I liked but the rest was just okay. Pretty exciting to have the Canadians make it to the final two. Just read Wiki that Kelly Osborne's stylist who was a guest judge on the last challenge, commit suicide by jumping off of the Tower bridge. You cannot be emotionally attached to the contestants then judge them. You know DARN well that Viv would not have been in the final if Julian was still a judge. Who do you think would have been? I was watching the final runways and was wishing that Ross had made the final.
