Did I hear him say that men are biologically predisposed to cheat, and it's a womans' job to forgive and forget to keep the family together?
Like holding on to her standards and leaving a cheater makes the woman into the family wrecker?

No, he said men are biologically predisposed to procreate not cheat.

And he said that it is the responsibility of BOTH partners to care for the marriage and communicate their needs so that neither one feels the need to stray. I paraphrased because that's what I got out what he said.

If you ask couples who have been married a long time what their secret is they almost always say communication.

As I understand it, ALL living things are predisposed to procreate. (BTW, did you see March of the Penguins?)

If men "are built to spread their seed," paraphrasing Dr. Stan, does that give them a little leniency in keeping their vows?

I agree that communication is the key to keeping a relationship alive. Putting the good of "us" above the good of "me" is right up there, too. For both partners.
