"Fabricating Drama" |
There was really nothing to see in last night's episode once Nick decided he wanted to backdoor Nicole. Production knew that we'd be tuning out by the thousands if they didn't do something to create suspense so they gave Christie the following script: Act paranoid, pretend that you are sure that you are the back-door target. There wasn't any logical reason for her panic attack but even the words "brussell sprouts" were turned into a menace! The basis of the script was that Christie had the Power of Veto; she could give it to Kathryn who would then decide on her own who would be put on the block. So get this: The script had all the fanatic Kool-Aid drinkers wondering if Christie could possibly be dumb enough to give her advantage to someone SHE put on the block (and who would have good reason to nominate her) because she suddenly didn't trust someone in her alliance!!! Sorry BB but I didn't buy it for a second and, of course, Christie stayed silent when it would have been time to hand over the power. So Kathryn saved Jessica causing Nicole, predictably, to wind up on the block. I can tell you that tonight's episode will have the following theme: "We need to change the vote to Cliff". Every segment will be built in such a way to make us think Cliff could be going but then, of course, Nicole will be voted out unanimously. BORING. I'm hitting the pool and going out tonight instead of wasting anymore time on this sh*t

As I stated on the other thread, what you call “Fabricating Drama,” I call “Obnoxious Embellishment.” Does Production tend to cast players who exhibit nauseating exaggeration? Without question, so let’s just add Christie to that long list.Funny, when she was HOH you assessed her as a “horrible Hot Mess.” Now, she’s acting poorly from a “script.” First, you criticized her as a person placing her last (after I incidentally placed her high.) Now, we’re back on the “script” kick. Well, you’re covering both of the bases quite nicely...I’ll give you that. On the subject of “covering both bases,” after reading your first post on this thread, I think you need to stick to Nostradamus and back into your predictions after the events unfold. It was easy to see Nicole was in danger before Thursday’s episode aired because at this early stage of the game whoever the HOH wants out gets their wish with Cliff acting as the pawn. Actually, when watching the episode, I was not getting the feeling that Nicole “was being presented as the sure bet to be evicted.” Sure, Nick and Smella were not having any reservations of who they wanted out (Nicole.) But for the majority of the time before the live eviction, the Six Shooters all were rallying to save Nicole and evict Cliff. This is where you would get on your soapbox and start ranting over how Production is force-feeding us to “believe” Cliff was at risk, when in reality, Nicole is the one going all along. But alas, it DID end up playing out that Cliff lost the vote and was sent to Camp Comeback to fight his way back into the game. Now, we get to hear a NEW hypothesized “script” to contradict your original “scripted” prediction. Too funny. Well, DUH...of course you’re going to hear the Campers say they will try to win the Comeback challenge and proactively earn their way back into the game. Being ostracized by the players in the game and not included in any game strategy talk...what else are they going to talk about?! LOL. Every challenge in your mind is “doofus.” Kingfish described it well. I would add it was not a challenge that favored a gender, a particular age group, an athlete, a body type more conducive to a hanging endurance comp, and not a “damn friggin’ puzzle.” Quite simply, it was a challenge where the competitor who could maintain a decent heart rate and not get all nervous and anxious would have the clear advantage. Kingfish may weigh in and state if he agrees, but from my observation, David, Ovi, and Kemi seemed to be more jittery when trying the navigate the balls, whereas Cliff was as cool as a cucumber. His approach was as smooth as a jar of Skippy peanut butter and, as Kingfish so accurately accessed, SMOKED the competition!

I don’t have to “think.” There’ve been whistleblowers who’ve talked openly about Pro Wrestling results. Even though the outcomes have been disclosed as choreographed/predetermined, the industry will still take exception when it hears, “The sport is fake” because the risks are very much real as evident by the serious injuries incurred that have put the wrestlers out of commission for months (some even career-ending injuries,) and regardless how choreographed the moves are, professional wrestlers are still among the most finely-tuned athletes around. No one blowing the whistle on unproven conspiracy theories with CBS Reality Shows making your Pro Wrestling reach yet another one of your apples-to-oranges gobbly-goo.
