Darth Sarcastic 18 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Got Milk? Spokesperson" 08-04-05, 03:15 AM (EST) "OK I love this show, but...." Is it just me or does Tim Farriss need a little "freshening up"? Seriously he looks way worn out. On another note, I love the guy but there is no way that Ty is going to make it because the INXS guys come off a little uptight to me. I mean i really wonder if those guys still have what it takes to put out new rocking material like they could with Michael. I mean it is a fair question because it has taken them a long time to get back to this point to gain any noterity at all. So it does beg the question "is winning this gig a good thing". In my very humble opinion it really isn't going to be (it's kinda like the runner-up Idol thing). Whoever wins is just going to be little more than a good karaoke act always singing someone else's material. I hope that Jordis especialy does not win because she has a hell of a lot of talent. If I were a record label A&R rep I would be all over this trying to find some way to sneak into that mansion and get her out. She could be the next desperately needed cool female rock icon (let's be honest it has been really male dominated lately folks). I think that Ty would be fantastic on Broadway. I think someone else mentioned it but man he would be awesome in RENT! Mig should be frontin a band like Gus Gus or something. I have one prediction Marty's voice is going to die before the show is over, every time he does that scream he strains really hard. He is a goner, just watch... I agree about Tim Farris and INXS. Actually there are a couple guys in INXs that look like Elton John to me. They look kind of puffy. Also they seem uptight, but to me that is all the more reason to pick a guy like Ty. Ty is a loosie goosie kinda guy. One of the reason INXS worked so well was because Michael Hutchense took the spotlight off the other guys and let the musicians be musicians. Ty seems like a great guy and really quite humble. It appears that you wrote this after last night episode. Have you every heard INXS's version of Kick? I think Ty did it better than even Michael did. He sold me and I think he could be a great new lead singer for INXS. The guy has talent galore. Sure sometimes he sounds like Theater but I think the coaches and INXS can change that. Really take a guy like JD, he is really talented but don't you see him butting heads with INXS after a while. To me JD is a little pyscho...would you want that? I was wondering the same thing, although I used a "cover band" analogy. (On the other hand, think of Van Halen, and of Velvet Revolver, even though they changed the name from Guns & Roses.) It could be great. If you don't think old Tim is a little road weary check out some of his old pictures. Hey I am just saying there is no reason he can't get a little nip/tuck. Let's be honest shall we... part of the bands original appeal was that you had a group of guys from down under that were all "handsome". They were totally a "beefcake" band so you lose the "beefcake", you lose some appeal in my mind. Anyway, Let's hope next week they eliminate two more folks because the show is starting to drag a bit. I really don't want to see anymore BAD performances (or after show crying). What I liked about the show from the beginning is that all of them got to perform to the best of their ability. Picking all of these different (obscure)songs is just a clever way of not having to cut people for superficial reasons. Remember folks this is TV it is supposed to manipulate you.
