Well...he did kind of pick it. But not totally, and not out of the ether.I will say that he has definitely grown a personality since the beginning, and has been great the last couple weeks,but 4th place is the best I can see him getting. And the "other" one, Ryan Starr, did totally pick her name, but it wasn't in the "third or fourth" episode of American Idol, I saw her first performance and she had already invented her name. His is at least half-given, but since he became "famous" second, it's his cross to bear.

I totally agree with you...I never thought he made up a stage name and I think he is a very strong contender. Thanks for the link to a most interesting article. I get frustrated by much of the TV editing! GRRRrrrrr.. and this article really clarifies a few things for me.
