"RE: This season's opening credit sequence" Has a pattern ever been determined from the opening credits of Hell's Kitchen? Here's my take on potential winners: I see only two potential winners right now -- Dana and Christina. Brian is the only male with a shot of winning, in my mind, but he's a big distance behind Dana and Christina. Pick for winner: Dana Have a shot of winning: Christina, Brian "Contenders": Patrick (I'm wondering if all those questions of 'are you a leader' is a way of testing him before he rises to the top), Royce (he's received the 'drama' moments which suggests a black jacket might be in his future), Kimmie (see Royce). "RE: This season's opening credit sequence" The editors plant clues just about every season (and in every one since the sequence went custom), but most of them make sense in retrospect. This has been going on since Season One, where Gordon slightly shook his head or indicated disapproval to every contestant picture -- except one. Another sequence put them all in a more literal HK and the winner was shown brushing off the flames: nothing going to burn her. And then there was the circus show where one player was displayed as Half Man, Half Donkey: you just knew he wasn't going far... Right now, I think Kimmie lasts to the inevitable makeover reward: there's too much contrast between her credits image and her current kitchen look, and no one else shows that kind of change.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: This season's opening credit sequence" I agree that Dana and Christina are the two with the biggest chance and of those two, I like Christina just a bit more -- she's from Philly and I live near there. And unlike Barbie, Christina hasn't behaved badly. Brian has an outside shot, I think, but that's about it. I think Patrick is more likely to go down in flames but he could surprise us. I agree that Kimmie and Royce will get black jackets. Although Justin hasn't been horrible recently, he's still rather weak. And there's no way in hell (pun intended here too) that Barbie, Clemenza, Robin or Tiffany will win either. They're either too weak, too liable to fall apart or too witchy to get the job. So maybe we should look at the credits for all of them (and especially Christina and Dana) and see what they might say about the chefs' future.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

While Dana was seen throwing a knife, what seemed to be interesting was that Christina was put into a magician's box to 'disappear' and then at the end, James pulled down a drape to 'reveal' Gordon appearing amongst a puff of smoke. That said, when Christina "disappeared", we saw Danielle, an earlier boot, appear in the magician's box.
