You have to give Gordon this much credit: every so often, he pulls out an absolutely spectacular reward. This was one of the better ones -- and the whole thing may have been worth it just for the shot of HK from the air. Notice Autumn's confessional about planning not to take anyone on a win because she doesn't have any friends? Yes, everyone's gone after her -- but at this point, she's the common denominator in that problem. And Ben calls Holli a tramp and says he's over her. Everyone heads to the place they feel either the most comfortable or the least incompetent: Holli to fish, Autumn does garnish, Jay takes appetizers, and Ben would handle the meat if only he could listen to the orders that say when it's due and the questions about when it'll be ready. At this point, the Ben problem is officially incurable. Half the time, we can't get him to talk and the rest, we can't get him to shut up. The talk springs to life. Times are called out, orders are listened to, food goes out to the dining room and stays there. Four idiots turn into, if not four chefs, then at least four working-class line cooks, which is more than we've had the whole season. Must have been something in the air.
