The HK contestants will be doing a welcome home surprise party. They have to create 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. Natasha & Gordon will test the dishes.Robert and Suzanne go to the office to learn Staff Sargeant James' likes and dislikes. Then they have to give their team all the important details. Robert tells the team exactly what they should make. Suzanne has problems telling the team what they should be making. Appetizers: Red team: caesar salad with baked prawn
Blue team, spicy seafood bouillabaise Winner: Red team 1st entree: Red team: Bacon-wrapped filet with grilled shimp
Blue team: 4 cheese macaroni, stewed collards, buttermilk fried catfish Winner: Blue team 2nd entree: Red team: Broiled lobster tail with seafood pasta
Blue team: NY strip with cajun rub, twice-baked potato, and grilled lobster tail Winner: Blue team

HI everyone!M'kay. Do the girls have to follow the guys recipes? Or can they take it from the position that "I know how to cook kick-##### collard greens" and do the recipes their own way. That would make more sense because if the girls do the guys recipes they don't have an opportunity to win. Or maybe I'm overthinking it. By the by, DH and I just ate the bestest pork kabobs that spent the night in the most gorgeous spicy peanut marinade. Yum.

LAST EDITED ON 08-12-09 AT 10:24 AM (EST)(Woops, this was supposed to be in response to Estee above) I assumed they didn't get to volunteer, but were instead assigned stations on a rotating basis, to see how comprehensively good they were. Otherwise a steakhouse chef would only ever be on the meat station and all Ramsay would know is the person could cook meat. And since there is always a meat station at every service, Tenille would have no reason to particularly lobby for it at this service even if they did have SOME say.

With strip steak and cheeseburgers on the menu, the chefs had to figure they'd be getting more grill business than usual. I agree with you on the possible rotating assignments -- but if they had any degree of choice in the matter, this would have been the night for Tennille to try and shine.
