"Rnd2 Fight1: Forbes v. Acevedo"
I expected Forbes to be the victor in this fight. But I thought he would have won the fight by a rediculous margin. Totally outclassing Acevedo.

It didn't exactly work out that way.
Forbes did win. But not by that much.
Acevedo had a couple of commanding rounds early on and looked to be giving Forbes a run for his money.
Yet by the last two rounds Acevedo started losing steam.
Giving Forbes the opportunity to let loose a let the fists fly.

The judges, considered this to be an even closer fight then I did. Or at least the editing had me believing.
By split decision 2 - 1 Forbes wins the first bout.

It left me thinking 'I underestimated Acevedo'. He is a lot better of a fighter than I had once thought.
If he'd had just a little more endurance the fight might have turned out vastly different.

Next Up: Wright v. Bundrage
My pick is Bundrage but I don't want to underestimate Wright.

1. "Viewing the fight"
It's very difficult to know how the fight came out. I thought it was clear that Acevedo won round 3 and Forbes won rounds 4 and 5, but it was very difficult to score the first two rounds from the limited excerpts we saw.

Tommy Gallagher ofen complains that fighters today don't know how to hold to avoid damaging contact. Nick apparently was an apt pupil of his, because Nick did some of the best clutching to block Forbes' power that I've seen in this tournament; with the exception of a second-round uppercut, I don't think Forbes landed a clean shot in the first three tounds.

Nevertheless, in a seven-round fight, Forbes would have won big, because Nick was dead on his feet at the end of the fight (similar to Sergio Mora against Ishe Smith in the second round of the first Contender, except with better judging).

2. "RE: Rnd2 Fight1: Forbes v. Acevedo"
It was an impressive effort by Nick and it really looked like he was going to knock out Forbes in the third. Steve was doing EVERYTHING he could to get through that round and back into the corner, and Acevedo looked exhausted after that round. He threw everything he had against Forbes and it appeared that he emptied the tank.

Personally, I was surprised because I thought that Forbes was the older fighter by quite a bit which would give him a disadvantage in the conditioning and endurance department.

I'd like K-9 to win, but I don't think he will. He definitely fights awkwardly, but it seems to work for him.

But, the four of us had a great time.

I knew Forbes would win. Watching Acevado become dead tired against Fraza I knew the same would happen here and it did. Both fights Acevado was able to start strong. But he lost stamina after round two. Geezo, what kinda fighter is Acevado to lose so much stamina after only two rounds. If only this guy trained harder I know he could've won this fight....to bad he seems so skilled but so out of shape.

It's exactly that "awkwardness" that allowed him to win against Clark.
Clark, a good seasoned boxer, underestimated K-9's power and "endurance". Where Clark fought smart, Bundrage fought with wild abandon.
Wright, could also be underestimating Bundrage's unpredictability and fall because of it.

I feel like I'm missing something about Wright. Is he that good?

Walter right is a tremendous fighter, I feel like he can adapt too any fighters fighting style who happens to be left on the show. k-9 is a knockout fighter every lick he throws its to persue a knock out, walter is slick and easy and has a good eye, be ready to see a really good fight of two different fighting styles.
