LAST EDITED ON 04-12-15 AT 08:39 AM (EST)LAST EDITED ON 04-12-15 AT 08:38 AM (EST) Pick the winning team from each series right up to the conference and Stanley Cup finals. The winners of these division series will face each other for the division championship. The two division champions will then compete for the conference championship and the right to battle for the Stanley Cup against the winner of the opposing conference. Correct picks in the first round are worth 1 point, 2 in the second, 3 in the third and 5 for the final. Along with naming your series winner, predict in how many games the series will end. One half-point (0.5) will awarded for each correct answer. No points for correct # of games if you have the series winner wrong. Lastly, in the unlikely event that we end up tied (which happened in 2013), a tie-breaking question for your viewing pleasure. Tell me how many goals will be scored in the Stanley Cup deciding game. Closest to the answer without going over wins the tiebreaker. Your picks must be submitted by replying to this thresd before the playoffs begin. This year's playoff match-ups: Eastern Conference Atlantic Division 1. Montreal vs. WC1 Ottawa 2. Tampa Bay vs. 3. Detroit Metropolitan Division 1. NY Rangers vs. WC2 Pittsburgh 2. Washington vs. 3. NY Islanders Western Conference Central Division 1. St. Louis vs. WC1 Minnesota 2. Nashville vs. 3. Chicago Pacific Division 1. Anaheim vs. WC2 Winnipeg 2. Vancouver vs. 3. As the only three-time champ, I am obligated to make some picks.Let's see here. FIRST ROUND Eastern Conference Atlantic Division 1. Montreal vs. WC1 Ottawa - One team is red-hot and the other team is just really good. Ann irresistible force and an immovable object. When a speeding car collides with a wall, the wall tends to end up in better shape. Habs in 6 2. Tampa Bay vs. 3. Detroit - The Lightning got the Wings three times - but he who laughs last laughs best. I get to be a homer once - and I have a good feeling. Wings in 6 Metropolitan Division 1. NY Rangers vs. WC2 Pittsburgh - The Pens want revenge. They just aren't playing well enough to hope for it. Blueshirts in a sweep 2. Washington vs. 3. NY Islanders - Again, take the hot team over the clunker. Caps in 5 Western Conference Central Division 1. St. Louis vs. WC1 Minnesota - This one's tough. I saw the Wild in person, and they win by sticking to other teams like fly paper. And they're very good at it. Wild in 7 2. Nashville vs. 3. Chicago - I'm not ready to trust the Predators. Not when they were all-world in February and now not so much. Hawks in 6 Pacific Division 1. Anaheim vs. WC2 Winnipeg - The Jets are a fun story. But they have zero lifetime playoff wins. And they're overmatched. Ducks in 5 2. Vancouver vs. 3. Calgary - Toss a coin. Or coss a toin, as a former math teacher of mine insisted on saying. Flames in 6 SECOND ROUND Eastern Conference Atlantic Division 1. Montreal vs. 3. Detroit - I've been a homer. But the Habs are too rock-solid. Habs in 6 Metropolitan Division 1. NY Rangers vs. 2. Washington - The Caps are playing well. The Rangers are playing better. And are better. And have Henrik Lundqvist, the second-best Henrik in the leag...OK, I'm done being a homer. Blueshirts in 6 Western Conference Central Division 3. Chicago v. WC1. Minnesota - The problem with being an overmatched group of fly paper is that one team will eventually get a case of Goo Gone and get them out. Hawks in 6 Pacific Division 1. Anaheim v. 3. Calgary - Again, just picking the better team here. Ducks in 7 CONFERENCE FINALS Eastern Conference 1. NY Rangers v. 1. Montreal - The Rangers took it last year. But the Habs are looking a lot better this year. Habs in 7 Western Conference 1. Anaheim v. 3. Chicago - The Ducks against the experienced Hawks, the team that doesn't blow it. Hawks in 6 STANLEY CUP FINAL 1. Montreal v. 3. Chicago - The Cup is going north of the border. And Leafs fans lose their minds. Habs in 7 5 goals scored

I thought copying from the three time champ was the intelligent thing to do. What am I supposed to do, copy from a bunch of losers? Heck, when I copy, I copy from winners. (Voluntary self-disqualification).

Sorry about the delay. My summer went upside down about the time that the Conference Finals began, and I'm just now coming up for air.Congrats to Molaholic, who won with 24.5 pts. and correctly picked Chicago to win the SCF in six games (although not agt. TB). The rest of the pack: 2. Col. Zoidberg 17.5 3. Pepe 16 (also picked CHI to win it all) 4. Yours truly 10.5 Thanks for playing and, again, please accept my apologies for not being a great host.
