Shouldn't it be the other way around - 1 point for the wild card round working up to 5 points for the Super Bowl pick? The theory is that it's more difficult to call the conference finals and Super Bowl, so more points should be awarded for these than for the wild card round.

I've seen a LOT of NFL games in my lifetime and that was quite possibly the worst game I've ever seen. I'm sure a game between two winless teams in mid-season was worse, but considering the setting and importance of the game, the putridness of this one was unparalleled.
Congrats, Carolina... if you're going to play that way, you get to be obliterated by Seattle next week (assuming the Lions don't beat the Cowboys later today).

Actually, Cam didn't look so bad, basically because Arizona and their hapless 4th (or was it 5th? Or 6th?) string quarterback, Lindley, looked so bad.
Carolina probably doesn't stand a chance against their next opponent. Stranger things have happened, but I'm guessing the odds against Carolina will be in the double digits.

Oh, Cam certainly did enough to win the game, but he was making a few poor reads and poor passes here and there. Against a team like the Seahawks, if he tries to make some of these same passes again, he'll get eviscerated. So many mistakes by both teams in the game, really.
But yeah, the big story of the game was the sheer incompetence of the Cardinals offense missing their top two QBs and top RB (Ellington) along with their punter, and also missing two key cogs on defense. They were saying that the Cards were the first team ever to start a playoff game without a single rusher who ever had 100 carries in his career. Depth was a real issue there.

Crazy game in Seattle! Really should have been a Green Bay win as they dominated the game, but a bonehead play by Bostick (I've seen offensive linemen with better hands than Bostick there, an alleged TE) and a failure to eat up the clock after Wilson's fourth interception doomed the Packers.

Congrats on winning the pool, Bullzeye!
That might have been the worst play call in Super Bowl history - the decision to pass with just half a yard needed for a winning TD with half a minute to play. You've got Beast Mode who almost never gets negative yardage and you've got a quick, mobile QB in Wilson who runs better than almost any other QB in the game ... and you pass right on the goal line when it's chaos in that area? Inexplicable.
ETA: As a friend was pointing out, NE were conserving their timeouts so it was clearly apparent that if Seattle was going to run there, they'd let him in for the quick TD and take their chances going back down the field to tie the game with timeouts in hand. Makes the play call look even worse in hindsight.

Seriously, is there a better QB-RB rushing combo in the entire NFL for short yardage plays? You've got Beast Mode and he's what you've relied upon for years. Don't overthink it - use him. Enough time for two runs and a clock-stopper with a timeout to burn.

Us here at Loser Lodge think it was a great game. It had it all, an outrageously brilliant halftime show, excellent QB play (one by a short guy with speed and scrambling talents, the other a tall guy with a great arm), inexplicable play calling at the end and some really atrocious officiating at times but the main thing is that it was karaoke night and that my rendition of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ (with my improvised air cowbell licks) brought the house down.
It was a good night.
