Mid point of the season, and some interesting stories. Most important for me, the Canadiens are actually leading the Eastern Conference. *boggle* and *smile*
The Toronto Maple Leafs are actually looking like a playoff-bound team. Can they break their long drought? I believe they haven't made the playoffs in the HDTV era.
I have to give Ottawa some love for staying in the playoff race despite three great players being out with injury. Unfortunately they won't get all of them back this season.
The Chicago Blackhawks just keep getting points every game. From the sports wire, the last time the Blackhawks failed to earn a point in a game:
- Joe Flacco was earning $8M
- Mike Trout was a hot prospect
- LeBron James had 0 NBA titles
- Lance Armstrong was the world's most decorated cyclist
- Johnny Manziel had yet to play a game for Texas A&M
- Manti T'eo's girlfriend was presumed to be alive and well
(okay, that last one made me snort)
Syndey Crosby is back to the top of the scoring race, but what's up (down?) with Ovy??
I am very disappointed by the Oilers. Many thought they would be hot after the lock-out because their young guns had been playing together during the lock-out.
And what's wrong with the mighty goal-tending duo in Vancouver??
I can't say I have watched many games, but I am still interested and watching the high-lights. Anyone else paying attention?
