They're saying it's almost certainly a suicide.RIP, Junior, you were a great player. Now, the timing is eerily in synch with the suspensions of four New Orleans players for the bounty system -- I'm going to come out and say that I think CTE is going to be found in significant amounts in Seau's brain, just as it was in the deaths of three NHL enforcers a year ago and in recent suicide cases of Dave Duerson and Andre Waters. It's time for both the NFL and NHL to take it up a notch and show they mean business with hits to the head.

Junior shot himself in the chest, a la Duerson. I'd say he realized something was screwy with his brain and chose to preserve it for examination. Gun suicides typically are in the head, no?

The coroner has said a CTE test will be part of the autopsy. For now, the only results to emerge is that the death has officially been labeled as suicide.

I am very sad to see this news. He was a great linebacker and fun to watch play. Sounds like he had some demons. I hope he now finds some peace.
