It's like this. Where do the Giants & Jets play? New Jersey. What's the location attachment in both of their names? New York. And the Nets? Are moving to New York. So as far as I'm concerned, fair's fair...

Okay, fine -- they lose their attachment to the state and we're down to a single professional team that identifies with it. (Admittedly one more than a lot of states get.) But honestly? At least for me, any very mild aches I might feel from having NJ give up the team is canceled out by having Brooklyn get it. Brooklyn's been without for a very long time. They have much love to give.

In New Jersey, they were just basketball players. In Brooklyn, they'll be idols.
