I remember reading an interview with the actor earlier in the season where they pointed out how much he was helping the show demographics-wise. And in an era where shows are being questioned for not being appropriately diverse, there's no way they'd get rid of him. Besides, did you SEE him when he got out of the tub last week? Yum. I'm betting either Paul - since, after all, he's been killing people himself and doesn't have a storyline future - or John the gardener, since he is peripheral (yet it wouldn't be a surprise if Carlos killed him). Rex would fit storyline-wise, but I'd be oh so disappointed...unless it meant he'd have more time to be the sleazy Majority Leader on West Wing. Their marriage is on shakey ground and he lost his job. Maybe the character doesn't die but they kill off the character by having him abandon his family. By his character being gone it makes Lynette's situation more "Desperate".
