Again...my spider senses are still tingling for Jin. Is Micheal in Sun's future? I am dying to read Moonie's thread but it says spoiler. So I should not go there right? This is the 7th episode and the one the producers/creators wanted to end for the break on. They said it made more sense to the story than to end after the 8th. ABC bigwigs wanted the 8th aired so the 9th episode would air when all their Thursday night shows return. I guess if they aired with the 8th it would not get finished in time to be counted for May sweeps. Anyone else miss the 2 hour episodes? A PhoenixMons Creation

hidden text spoilers below Ji Yeon First aired: 3/13/2008 Production Code: 407 Juliet is forced to reveal some startling news to Jin when Sun threatens to move to Locke's camp. Meanwhile, Sayid and Desmond begin to get an idea of the freighter's crew when they meet the ship's captain.
Writer: Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz Director: Stephen Semel Guest star: Zoe Bell (Regina), Jeff Fahey (Frank Lapidus), Sam Anderson (Bernard Nadler), Kevin Durand (Keamy) , Grant Bowler (Captain Gault), Simon Rhee (Shopkeeper), David Yew (Chinese Security Agent), George Kee Cheung (Chinese Ambassador), Marc Vann (Doctor), Lanny Joon (Dr. Bae), Christine Y. Kim (Admitting Nurse), Lynette Garces (Other Nurse) So now we meet the captain. I read along the way some where that one of the main characters dies in episode 7- so I'm pretty nervous for Jin.
One interesting thing- in Korea no one is named just "Sun" or "Jin" everyone has a two-part first name like Jin-Soo or Sun-Hwa. They would not go by Jin or Sun for short. Handcrafted by RollDdice 2005

...because I won't be able to handle it. (Apologies if this has already been discussed too -- I'm a "popper" these days since my internet activity is being watched...*looks around suspiciously*)I have a horrible feeling that Sun is going to get off the island...sans Jin. If she stays on the island she'll die and maybe there's only a chance to take one more person off the island. So Jin will stay behind to save his wife and child. And there will be a horrible goodbye where they will both be crying and he'll be shoving her onto the transport forcing her to leave without him. And then she'll be screaming and the last shot will be their hands eventually parting as the transport finally pulls away... Excuse me, I seem to have something in my eye...
I'll not forgive those ####ers if they do that. I'm just now getting over the Charlie bit.

Any ideas on what the other two dates are on the graveston? While watching the show, I only noticed the two dates on the right side so I assumed they were birth and death dates. 1974 sounds right for a birth year for Jin but I don't understand why there is a 3rd date on the left hand side? Why a 1980 date????

Jin's death will be hard to fathom.1. So, does Jin make it off as one of the O6? If not, then Aaron has to be the sixth "survivor." Or is it Michael? That would explain who was in the coffin. 2. What book was Regina reading before she offed herself? 3. What else did the captain tell Des and Sayid? They were with him for a long time, and they both looked a little stunned when walking to their room. 4. It looked like someone's brains on the wall of that ship's room. Suicide or murder? 5. Why would the Shippies trust Michael? I assume that he just showed up in a boat one day. And where is Walt? 6. Who dies next week? Tribefied

1. So, does Jin make it off as one of the O6? If not, then Aaron has to be the sixth "survivor." Or is it Michael? That would explain who was in the coffin. No. Remember at Kate's trial, there were 8 survivors but 2 died before being rescued. I think Jin is one of those 2. Is it Michael or Locke in the coffin? I still think it was Locke.2. What book was Regina reading before she offed herself? Hope someone caught it! 3. What else did the captain tell Des and Sayid? They were with him for a long time, and they both looked a little stunned when walking to their room. I think they listened to the black box. And Des would be totally perplexed finding out that Mr. Widmore owns the freighter. 4. It looked like someone's brains on the wall of that ship's room. Suicide or murder? My guess would be suicide. 5. Why would the Shippies trust Michael? I assume that he just showed up in a boat one day. And where is Walt? I had a lot of these questions too. 6. Who dies next week? My guess? Michael.

I'm still of the mindset that Michael is one of the Oceanic 6 (and dies later, hence funeral in flash foreward)...unless last night's episode leads you to think otherwise, as I haven't watched it yet.

1. Apparently you are not the only one confused about the Oceanic 6 from reading some other places. However I think they have clearly told us it is Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Aaron and Sun. Before Kate's episode they said they would reveal another of the Oceanic 6 and we got Aaron. Prior to this episode they said the final member would be revealed, Sun. Aaron is part of them. Whether Jin and Claire are the 2 that survived but they claimed "drowned" remains to be seen. I don't think it explains the coffin bit yet. Unless we do think it is Micheal. But I don't think he would be part of the Oceanic 6. He has another name now, right?2. I don't know, that whole thing played out weird. 3. Are we really to believe that Widmore is the baddie? I think it is more possible that he could be good. Was the captian the guy Widmore beat up in Ben's tape? 4. The whole freighter has that creepy Island hatch/station feel. 5. Further questyions, did Micheal go back to te mainland to get on the boat or they just picked up this guy on a little boat and hired him as a janitor? Who was banging on the pipes? Walt? 6. You are definately asking the wrong person Oh I read that the tombstone date of Jin's death was 9/22/04, date of crash.

I have hated this season. Every episode...I watch wondering if someone dies. This week Jin, last week it was Juliet, the week before Desmond, etc. Then yesterday we find out Jin probably dies and that next week someone else....my guess Claire. As for the two that died after the crash. One will probably be Claire....since the baby was born after Claire took off on the flight. Jin? They could of said he died in the crash. I just hope Jin is not really dead. NO! Locke is not in the coffin. Think about this, some will leave the island and some will stay. There will be stories on and off the island. If Locke is off the island who remains? Locke will stay on the island and remain the on island leader. Plus, why would Locke leave when only 6 leave? He would have to be the last person to want to leave? Makes no sense. Most likely it is Michael in the coffin as whoever it is Kate is not a big fan of. So my guess is Michael will not die next week. The coffin is most likely holding one of these people: Michael, Ben, Frank, Faraday, Miles, I want to pat myself on the back as soon as they revealed on the tv that all Oceanic 815 passengers were accounted for and dead in the crash I said.....Nope those are the people Ben gased on the island. Last night I found out I was right. It will be revealed next week probably who gets on the helicopter. Remember Frank left the boat with the helicopter. We will find out why Jin and Claire do not get off the island.

after that heartbreaking episode we may still have to sit through Jin's death or whatever tears them apart? Knowing that they are doomed. Are we gluttons for punishment? I was totally fooled by them. Although I will admit that I did not think it ended well...I kept expecting Jin to get hit by a bus. I did question why he was going to the hospital if Sun kept saying get my husband, someone call my husband. I thought the timeline was off. Plus his cellphone looked outdated yet still I did not connect. Stupid me! Why is Sun's father not around for his grandchild's birth? hmmm.... I think "karma" was the theme here. I wonder what karma has ins tore for Micheal?

I was fooled too right up until Jin said he had been married for only two months. Then I thought, whoa, they're really messing with us: Sun's is a flash forward and Jin's is a flashback! From there on I knew that Jin was history. But now that I know the date on his tombstone, I don't think Jin is dead. I think he's still on the island. Last night, when Hurley showed up and said something to the effect of, "let's do it." I almost got the feeling that it was a photo op. Sun was crying because Jin hadn't met his daughter, not because he was dead. If he had truly just died, I would've expected Jack and/or Sayid to have shown up too (after all they have that Golden Pass!) CC and DL have said that Penny and Desmond was the great love story of Lost. I think Jin and Sun is another love story destined to be together (or at least that's what I hope!). Also as someone pointed out elsewhere, we still need characters on the island. Rescued: Jack, Kate, Aaron, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, Ben, Desmond Island: Locke, Jin, Sawyer, Claire, Juliet, Rose, Bernard I've probably forgotten someone. In the past Lost has promoted that someone dies even if they're not a main character. I'm hoping that it's a minor character or one of the 4 new characters this season. It could also be Claire and that's how Kate got custody of Aaron, but that's probably too easy. There's probably some wierd twist coming that explains why Claire and Jin (the two "dead" Oceanic survivors?) stayed behind.

The creators have been ambiguous about Aaron being one of the Oceanic 6:From TV Guide: http://www.tvguide.com/news/lost-questions-answered/080304-01 Yunjin Kim (Sun): "Is Aaron actually one of the Oceanic 6?" Cuse: We're not officially saying yet. We want the audience to engage in an active debate about who the Oceanic 6 are. Lindelof: Following episode, we got several inquiries we weren't anticipating about, 'Is Ben a member of the Oceanic 6?' He could've assumed the identity of somebody on the plane no surviving family members. Who the actual six are is very much in play through the end of the episode. We'll confirm or deny after that. We should find out soon.

Well, fine. I was hooked. When Jin said he'd only been married 2 years, MY brain spun it into thinking that after getting off the island, Jin had to go back to work for Mr. Paik, so in order to protect Sun and the baby, he and Sun were separate - that Sun was actually in hiding and Jin had gotten re-married. (My brain spins fast.) Clearly that was all wrong. Then, when I realized that Jin's was a flask back and Sun's was a flash forward, I got mad that Jin was "dead" (although now I agree with those who think he's not dead but still on the island, and Sun's "I miss you" was to a Jin she knows to still be alive.) Then the baby was so cute and sweet and Sun's visit to the headstone was so touching, that I got something in my eye, so when it was over I turned off the TV and refused to talk to Mr. Fro, who was taunting me about the thing in me eye. I was also kind of disappointed that Michael was the man on the boat. I wanted to be shocked. I was hoping that the man on the boat was Christian Shepard.

I thought the same thing!! I didn't clue into the old cell phone detail. But unlike yourself, I didn't clue into the fact that it was a flashback for Jin until I read this thread... duh! I can only hope that Jin is still alive on the island. Michael didn't surprise me at all. I liked how Sayid and Des gave nothing away when Michael was revealed. Why the heck are people killing themselves on the boat and no one cares?! This show drives me crazy... but I still love it. Oh and a super-skinny Sun post-pregnancy was a little bit silly.

I agree with the Weasel. Jin is dead on the island. As soon as they did the thing where Jin got a phone call from someone saying he had to hurry up and then the next scene we see Sun asking for them to call Jin, I knew they weren't in the same time frame. Poor Jin. I liked him. Also, the producers have said that figuring out the two who died according to Jack's testimony is not a big deal. They didn't expect that to be a question we'd wonder about (duh!) and don't plan for it to play a big part in the story. I think the Oceanic six are Aaron, Sun, Hurley, Jack, Kate and Sayid. Babies don't need their own ticket when flying on a plane, so they could have lied and said Aaron was on the plane even though there was no record of him.

For Aaron to be considered Kate's child, doesn't it mean that everyone has to think he was born to her on the island? People know the Marshall was bringing Kate in handcuffs. There couldn't have been a baby included.

I've been thinking about this, and it occurred to me that Jin may actually be alive in terms of the show, but if he is, I don't think the Oceanic Six know it - I think Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, and most importantly, Sun, think Jin is dead. Sun doesn't act that way at the tombstone if she thinks Jin is alive.
