"Relative positions of groups on island"
Something seemed out of kilter last night when the tailies were returning to the main group. Here's why. Maybe my recollection of past events is wrong, but dunno....

Last season when Arzt was explaining the trade winds, I think he said the raft would initially float north but then be forced back to the southeast (clockwise on the island from the departure point). Then when the raft actaully sailed, it seemed that is exactly what happened. When Sawyer and Michael reached land, I thought they had floated around clockwise.

But last night the tailie group was returning to the main group with the ocean on their left, meaning they were traveling clockwise also, which would not happen unless the raft had traveled almost completely aorund the island, which seems unlikely. Am I confused in my orientation?

1. "RE: Relative positions of groups on island"
You said "Am I confused in my orientation?"

My reply "Yes, go and watch the film again."

4 8 15 16 23 42; EXECUTE, Repeat every 108 minutes.

Are you clear now? if not watch the film again.

Sorry about the sarcastic post, but I could not help myself after you said ORIENTATION.

But seriously though, what if they just completed the circle around the island. Remember, a circle has no beginning and no end. And all roads lead to Rome, errr, the Beach I mean.

It is astonishing how foolish humans can be in groups, especially when they follow their leaders without question - States: The Bene Gesserit View. All States Are an Abstraction.
