Aliens will somehow be tied into the show... These people are being tested probably not even on a real island but hooked up to machine on a spaceship. I'm thinking the Matrix where they're all hooked up for some sadistic government experiment. Then... I'm also thinking The Truman Show where all the people are cast members. Maybe they drugged certain people on that flight and programmed their minds to think they were on a plane crash. All these theories.
