For most of my adult life, I've been a conservative christian but as the years wore on, more and more, I become embarrassed by the increasingly militant views of today's christians against not only homosexuality, but nearly everything...even if it's not in the bible clearly. I would sit there and listen to people like that black christian woman of "excellence", and I would start to be embarrassed that I was a christian. I'm thinking, "Come on, if you have an issue can't SOMEBODY make an INTELLIGENT argument!". Yet in my 20 years of being in church and thinking like they did, I had to come to the reality check, that most raise their hands and stomp their feet against all these issues and boil their entire arguments down into a Precious Moments greeting that says "God says it, I believe it and that's all the reason I need." Clearly this talibanese-christian woman seemed to take delight in the suffering of these lesbian women with the attitude that she is sooooooooooo right, sooooooo completely God-blessed correct, that she seemed to feel is was completely justified to order her around and degrade these lesbian women and reduce them to tears.

If I was sitting there when she said that she was concerned that a sexual predator was coming into her house. I would have calmly replied, "Yes, I understand your feelings because when I found out a black woman came into my house, I would be concerned about the crack cocaine my daughter would be exposed to" and see what she thought about that.

This seems to be today's christian, radical American and after being one for 20 years, I'm embarrased to say I was a mind-numbed Jesus-bot like most of these who now seem to be the ones on god's mission to force everyone, christian or not, into walking, talking, acting, behaving and speaking like the conservative right do because that's "god's mission".

I hope that "excellent" woman gets recognized on every street corner and booed, hissed and slammed for her sick attitude. However, you know, if that does happen, she will no doubt feel that she is being persecuted like christ and will take delight in it anyway so she would probably end up feeling complimented.

If christ came to save, christians apparently came to condemn...and they do it soooooo well.
