"Wife Swap 2/13"
Oh my GOD! I couldn't help but laugh when the animal-rights activist was crying and apologizing to the deer head mounted on the wall... and saying prayers to it... and then once she gets home, she announces that she is now a vegatarian?? What??!! She wasn't a vegatarian before? It was so stupid and dramatic. Here is this guy who enjoys hunting and fishing, not just to kill, but to actually feed his family and he is using the parts of the animal to admire, etc, he's not just throwing it away. She makes is sound like its a trajedy that an animal has been eaten and then mounted... yet she ate meat, too. Hmm some activist!!
And how about her husband.. why did he cry and allow the bossy woman to run all over him? I kept waiting for him to speak up. I was saying to my t.v., "speak up, speak up!" UGH! I did feel badly for their child though, having her mother sleep until 10 a.m. just 'cuz she wanted to... Its too bad that the bossy mother wasn't more effective in showing them the value of having clean laundry, etc., instead they rebeled against her judgmental authoritarian attitude. This show is supposed to entertain but man it kinda stressed me out!

I stared at my screen when the newly proclaimed vegetarian screamed "MY DOGS ARE OUTSIDE??? MY DOGS ARE NOT IN THE HOUSE???" I just was vapor locked and sort of stared at the screen. I think the conservative woman was trying to offer them cleanliness, structure, and a kind of patriotism and the "vegetarian" ... well, there IS something to say about our eating habits in America, and I had no problem with her husband's hair... her kids are going to have to earn a living someday, so they need to know how to keep up their house and how to do work

... On the other hand, I like meat and I like it wild ... if I can get it. The conservative gal won for me. I hate that she doesn't share the same bed w/her hubby, though. He seems to be a sweet man.

It was just a weird exchange of households, IMO.

Did I hear him wrong or did the conservative woman's husband say he " wished the new wife was his wife?" I hope for her sake that I heard him wrong.
Also, I myself thought the proclaimed vegetarian was a real fruitcake. I also did not feel that her child was treated badly. The new wife was trying to teach the child a little respect for her elders.

Will have to watch again. Probably when she gave him his big bed back he might have thought/said it, but if he did, during the episode, he seems to have changed his mind.

The wife and husband didn't sleep together because of his snoring, he should get that checked by a doctor.

That new veggie women OMG what can I say bout her, she has to be the most annoying person that walks this earth. What was that screaming at the meeting all about, she needs a good slap what a spoiled rotten baby she is. Her daughter had to clean that pig sty of a house OMG call the childrens services lol.I really do feel sorry for her daughter. Sleeping til 10. GET OUT OF BED AND LOOK AFTER YOUR CHILD. I liked the husband though and his hair was fine, a very passive person but that is noones business.

That husband did say he wishes she was his wife, after he made a comment about his fear of getting a fat ugly new wife, I guess this one was thin enough for him. I feel sorry for his real wife. He was and is a pig. Although I do believe he really didn't like the new wife after he got to know her. Did you see the male relatives react to her, one even stuck out his tongue as if to lick her, what a group of rotten pigs. Wait til the wives see this show, some divorces are coming.

This one show disgusted me so much I had to join this group to voice my opinion. I hope the southern wife takes a good look at her marriage. I say to her, he is a pig and please don't stay with him if you truly don't love him. You deserve much better.

To the wahhhhh screaming new vegetarian wife, if the show really captured who you are then you need some serious help.

I have to add, Rasta-man looked so unhealthy. Perhaps had something to do with the overflowing ash tray on the back porch. And his wife sure seemed more upset about how the dogs were treated than her own child. I usually enjoy these shows, but I didn't like either family this time.

I didn't watch this show on Monday night but I did watch it the first time around and I have to say there was a few moments when I just had to laugh.

I thought that the animal rights activist mom was more than a bit loopy. I couldn't believe how much she carried on about the family killing animals when she herself was eating meat, how hypocritical. I guess it's ok to eat the meat if you don't actually kill it yourself and buy it from a store...lol. At least the animals the family was killing to eat had a good life in the wild unlike the animals we eat from the store. I also thought her lack of responsibility was disgusting. What the heck does this woman do with her day besides sleep, write some poetry and act like a hypocrit? In my opinion, it was ridiculous that she always slept in til 10 and didn't see her child off to school or clean the house. It's like c'mon you're an adult now with a child now act like one.

As for the other mom, well I did think it was unfair to make the father put a flag up at his home. It was against his beliefs and I don't think that she needed to change that. As far as her trying to get the house clean and discipline the child, not at all wrong of her, it's what was needed. I also didn't see the big deal in her letting the dogs stay outside. It wasn't like she made them stay out there all day and night and in harsh weather. I would think an animal of lover would realize that dogs enjoy being outside.

As for the father's comment about how he wished Ms. Crazy was his wife, he definately made the comment. When I heard him say it I got the impression that he found her to be attractive, which I thought was appalling that he would say such a thing. The way I see it, it's ok to think someone other than your spouse is attractive but to make that kind of commentary or even think it is out of line. I guess he spoke way too soon.

I thought that is what he said. (That he wished the new wife was really his wife) What a hog. Most the men in his family seemed to react to her in that way as well. I know one thing, if it were my husband that said that he would be out the door. It made me angry enough HER husband saying it, I would flip had it been mine. urrrg.
