I think this was one of my fave eps!The black family was a hoot! I think my hubby and I are very similar to them (without the white glove and extreme cleaning gene.) I loved when the black lady just about punched the white lady out after she called her the N word! What gall! I couldn't believe my ears! I was shocked to hear there were changes on both fronts. I think we may be in for a doozy of a season!!! http://www.geocities.com/craftscrochetnmore/index.htm

I usually lurk not post but there was nothing to read. What happened people?I loved the show. I loved the structure and discipline of the Wiggins family. I thought the southern family was in need of help and thought the children cooperated with their new Mom Neicey beautifully. The southern woman couldn't comprehend that taking sports away from the boys was not a freeing experience for them - that they LOVE their sports as much as her son likes parking himself in front of the TV and video system all day. Hooray for the kids and the parents who encourage them to develop an interest in socializing, sportsmanship and being outdoors instead of isolating themselves indoors. The 3 hour session between them reassembing again must have been dynamite, Neicey was hoarse and tense when they returned.

Agreed. The sit-down-at-the-table session was definately a big moment in the episode. I didn't hear the white woman call Niecey the n-word but I sure did hear her call her FAT (which by the way, she shouldn't be talking she was no Twiggy herself). and it took 3 hours for them to calm down. I would have wanted to see a bit of that. Indeed, Niecey was very hoarse by the time they came back. I'm sure quite a screaming fest ensued. Good thing they were able to collect themselves and speak their peace at the table like adults. I think both women started the session at the table very much on the offense which made the other return in defense. There is a way to talk to a person without resorting to the lash out. I always thought it would be good to do a revisit to some of the families from last season to see how they are doing now.

I've only watched a few episodes (can't stay up that late - LOL), but this one was great. I was just so sorry the white mom put the TVs back in the kids' rooms after the black mom had them retrained where they really didn't need them. They only watched TV and played video games as much as they did, because there was absolutely nothing else to do and mom was never home to spend any time with them.

I also enjoyed this episode, there were many, many stereo-types to overcome and many lessons to be learned. I also noticed that the white mom said she had cut back her hours at work to spend more time at home...hmmm... from what we saw on t.v., she worked from 6 p.m. to midnight!! Thats not that much.. how about cutting back your casino hours? It was good to see that they all learned from one another, they could have just stayed on the defensive, which I've seen so many other times on this show, and go right back to being the way they were. For information she did not call her the N word. The black family had just got a settlement from a lawsuit and had just bought the house and while the white wife was there their car was repoed. Don't believe everything you see. Oh by the way the baby was rented.
