As noted on VFTW, now Paula really has to start pretending her own negotiations aren't going well, because the supposed (and sober) back-up plan just got a fresh contract. http://tinyurl.com/krn6ds At a guess, Kara just wanted to see what this year's crop looked like. As in 'live appearance'. Close-up. Two inches away from the nearest pillow. The nearest commercially-judged, heavily-promoted pillow. I don't think this improves the show, but I didn't think improvement was the goal to begin with. I don't quite understand the Randy-Simon-Kara dynamic, whereas the R-S-Paula one was easy to figure out and fun to watch. Besides, Paula is *slowly going crazy*. That makes for GREAT live TV (see John Madden's recent broadcasts). How can boring Kara be an improvement?
