PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the

Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

the first fan thread for Blake? really? his hometown paper, the Seattle Times, finally realized they have two of the Top 8 in their pocket. (and three of the top 8 auditioned in Seattle. Love to hear the show admit that.) First they did a take-out on Sanjaya, now they did Blake. Seattle is not an Idol sort of place, so it's no coincidence that both of the community's contributions to the Idol pool are unconventional. I look forward to watching Blake because he so clearly is moving to his own inner beatbox when he's on stage. It's no gimmick. Even when he restrains himself from vocalizing it, you can see it in his body, in his movements. he's in his own world up there. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/artsentertainment/2003659501_blake10.html my favorite quote: To be fair, as a seventh-grader, Lewis didn't spend a lot of time sitting anywhere, says Linda Hamilton, Lewis' junior high choir teacher.
"He was this little ball of energy, constantly getting up and tapping and clicking things and making noises," she says. "I thought he was just being irritating. And then in high school, he realized he was making music."

LAST EDITED ON 04-10-07 AT 11:06 AM (EST)Seattle is not an Idol sort of place, so it's no coincidence that both of the community's contributions to the Idol pool are unconventional. While I will agree with this from a "conventional Idol" standpoint, Seattle is certainly a hotbed of musical talent in other areas (notably the whole grunge movement). Perhaps there is a certain musical culture to the city? As for Blake, I have liked him from the beginning. And I believe that his rendition of "A Time For The Season", will go down as one of the better perfomances of the season. So, I share your surprise that this is the first Blake thread. ETA: Shoot is right - I forgot all about the other thread. Commence locking. A birthday present from Tribe
