They just announced on my radio station that Chris is rumored to to be getting an offer from a band tonight on the show Extra. The rumor is that the band is either Fuel or Tool. Anyone else hear this rumor? One nation under George, divided.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit and this is why he needed to lose. Wasn't there a rumor about Fuel back when the top 12 were selected? I guess I better tune in to Extra tonight to see what develops and if an offer is made, what his response is. Will he dump his band & go with a group already established or try to sign somewhere with his band? Hmm.

There was a Fuel rumor, yes, after he sang "Hemorrhage".
I read that it's a "MAJOR" band. I'm not sure what Ryan considers major though.

Considering it's said to be a "new" offer, maybe it's a different band. Maybe?

Whomever it is, he can't accept the offer. He has a prior contractual agreement w/ AI/19 Entertainment. I think he has to wait 6-12 months _AFTER_ the winner's CD comes out to release a CD, or do whatever.
Should be interesting to watch what happens.

So what does Chris do? I say he has to take this very seriously and talk to people he really trusts to help him make the decision. I wonder what his old band thinks about this? They had to be okay with him going on AI, they were in the audience but I think it's human nature that they would be jealous...

Seacrest will help by doing anything that could affect the ratings. Chris would be totally stupid to grab this right away. He should sit back 6-12 months and let the offers pile up, negotiate and maximize his potential from AI.

Okay. We're onto something now. Fuel's lead singer left and started another band. Fuel was dropped by their label.
Sooooo 19E wouldn't have to let Chris out of his contract if they sign Fuel with Chris as the lead singer.

I wasn't too upset about Chris getting voted off last night because I never thought he needed to win. I think he will find his way and it will be better for him in the end.
I think any decent attorney could get Chris out of the deal with AI. Even if they were reluctant, they would probably eventually settle.

Should he accept the first offer he gets? Maybe not. He might want to hang on it for a bit and see what else comes around. On the other hand... Should he accept an offer (made twice now) by a well established band who has a legion of fans that would only double with Daughtry fans added? Probably. If he holds out too long, they'll likely make an offer to somebody else. They've been holding auditions and have said that there are some really great prospects there. So when Chris is made an offer by a "major" band to be their new lead singer without ever auditioning for them (or did he? - could that be why he decided to sing Hemorrhage in the first place?), didn't answer right away. This could come across as arrogant. Then again, who wouldn't want to sign a guy who is sure of himself?
I have confidence he'll do what is best for him. He's an intelligent, passionate, talented (and gorgeous) guy.

Chris did an interview with a local radio station this morning and they mentioned that he had Rob Thomas down as his favorite male artist. Next thing you know they get Rob on the phone to talk to Chris. Chris was so cute about it, all star struck. Anywho, the DJ's asked Rob what he thought about Chris joining Fuel and he said if he were Chris he wouldn't do it because right now Chris would be the biggest thing about the band so why join an existing one. He said he just needs to go out there and be Chris Daughtry. They exchanged numbers after the interview. We'll be seeing great things come from Chris because he's racking up quite a list of star confidants (Bon Jovi being another that's interested in helping him). Can't wait!!!
