PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Son,I was a Roadie with GN'R and know what a hit is!!!!! Bo needs to sing it his own way and I know he can hit some of the same notes that Axel did. He needs to take some chances and stop singing that Croce crap. When Mick Jagger heard Axel and GN'R play, they once opened for the Stones, he kicked them off the tour. Bo needs to sing this song to win.

I still want him to do "Everybody Wants You," that Billy Squier song from the 80's. It's so off the beaten path, plus it would be a riot. That same week, Constantine could do "I'm too Sexy," but not get the joke. LOL!!! (Can you actually hear the gagging noises from where you're sitting? ACK! PFFT!) Wow. I really don't like Constantine, do I? What's my problem, eh? Go BO!!

Why insult him: 1) I come to this message board to let off steam. 2) He annoys the living heck out of me. 3) 'Cause I'm a horrible human being. P.S. I'm also a mom--in fact, I'm about to be a mom again (literally any day now).

I like Bo but he doesn't have the vocal chops to pull off a song that has that much range. Bo cannot sing well in other ranges so he should not attempt any song from a powerful rocker. Bo would not come out well and the song would be flat. He should stick with his 1 dimensional psyeduo southern rock, it's working well and should get him to at least the final 3.

>>I like Bo but he doesn't have the vocal chops to pull off a song that has that much range. Bo cannot sing well in other ranges so he should not attempt any song from a powerful rocker<<Strongly disagree. Bo's got lotsa vocal chops -- and it's not the size of his range, it's the 'type' of his range. Bo is a baritone. Constantine is a tenor. Axel Rose, Billy Squier -- tenors David Clayton-Thomas, Greg Allman -- baritones Sometimes you can transpose a tenor song into a lower key for a baritone to sing, but sometimes that doesn't work -- it can take the edge off. Bo should not sing any Axl Rose stuff. Frankly, in view of all the boy-band crap & R&B "never sing a melody just do runs all over the place"....I'm REALLY enjoying hearing a baritone!!! Baritones are REAL MEN. (ahem. sorry 'bout that. got a bit excited there.)

Bo "should" sing Axl Rose stuff. The judges like you to sing songs using your own sound and I believe he can sing SWEET CHILD OF MINE and adapt it to his voice. He has been holding back big time since WHIPPING POST. And what the hell were they singing Show Tunes for last evening? Who decides the musical categories each week? Last night was a disaster. Nobody in the field will ever sell one C.D. of these songs and no label would ever record them doing those songs anyhow. Last night was a disaster for American Idol. Why can't they sing whatever they want every week?

I'm just wondering if people really think that Bo needs to sing a GNR song, or if they would be more interested in seeing him wear those super-tight, super-low-slung pants? I remember the first time I saw Axl standing on one foot and flailing the other one to "Sweet Child o'Mine". I didn't know if I liked him or hated him, but the pants were so distracting!!

Bo should sing "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake. That would rock. Constantine shouldn't sing anything that won't allow him to frog his lips out and do his eyelashes all sexy. That's what he's countin' on for votes instead of his voice. He's done ok the last couple of weeks I will give credit where it's due. But Bo is by far the better singer of the two, imo.

that might lead folks to think that he doesn't care whether he wins or not.I got the impression he doesn't care. He probably knows he will get a much better contract than the official AI one and doesn't want to be stuck with that one. If he loses, after the concert tour, isn't he free to persue other offers?

I don't think so. It seems like when what's-his-name quit, he still was bound by the "19" contract for awhile. And I'm almost certain the Top 10 are bound for awhile anyway, because don't they tour together as the Top 109 for awhile? New from Sigs by Syren!! Keep lookin' up, cuz that's where it all is. o-

I don't get the impression that Bo doesn't care. I think he had a life he was happy with before AI came along, and he will go back to that same life if he's voted off. He'll probably go back and be more successful than before. To me, I'd rather see someone with Bo's attitude than crying their eyes out because they put all their life's hopes and dreams in the Idol basket and it didn't pan out. Bo is glad just to be there. I'm sure he'd love to win just as much as any of the rest of them up there, but I get the feeling he's thankful he's come as far as he has. Imho.

Agree completely, Nailbone.Bo made a critical error with his "eh, I don't care. Dosn't mean anything to me." schtick. Do I think he cares? Of course he does. Otherwise he wouldn't be up there (to leave the competition wouldn't exactly be novel this season). But I guess caring about such things just isn't "rock-n-roll" enough for the image he's trying to cultivate. I've been critical of Anwar in the past for exhibiting a similar attitude...but even he has never been foolish enough to come right out and say that it just doesn't matter to him one way or the other. This distinction doesn't make Bo more "cool"...just less smart. Has Bo forgotten that this competition (the one he slept on a wooden floor with his mother to join) is about motivating those who like you to pick up a telephone and dial your number? If he cares less than those who might vote for him...why bother? He, being the eldest on stage, should know enough to be careful what he asks for...he just might get it. And now, I won't be surprised if he does.

True Bo fans won't let that matter. He does care, he just is being real about it if he was to get kicked off. He is in it to win, just like everyone else, but he seems like a happy person and a cool guy would say something like that instead of acting like its life or death if he doesn't win. I like him even more for saying that. Bo still gets my vote. I hope he gets yours too.

"He does care, he just is being real about it..."Sorry eastgirl80, but I'm not sure this quite adds up. How can we assume he cares when he strongly implies that he does not? And, if we do make such a guess, how can we say that Bo is being "real", when he is obviously B.S.ing up there? I know you're a fan, and I know that you're not alone. I don't think he's bad at all actually, but I'm beginning to wonder whether or not to root for him since he's announced his sudden indifference. Can't have his cake and eat it to, I'm afraid. He wants to be the prom king but acts like he doesn't much care for proms. I'll be interested to see how he tries to make that work. I think Bo is good for the show, in that both he and Constantine have probably broadened its audience. But I also think that Bo has just now begun to realize that it will be difficult to strive to be Eddie Vedder while competing to be the next Clay Aiken. He sees the cake and he hears his stomach growling...

No offense to all you guys out there but, it was a display of a male ego putting on a strong.."hey whatever" face..but deep deep inside....he was bummin big time....I love that guy no matter what!

For the people thinking Bo should sing anything by a big-hair, spandexed, head-banging rock band you really do not get what he is about. Bo is more of a hippy-I-love-everyone-life-is-great type of rock singer more comfortable with the old 70's type of songs. There are rock bands who have kept this good old rock sound throughout the years and it is coming back now (Counting Crows comes to mind, he would be great at one of their songs.) Bo is more "Peace and free love." not "Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll." While I enjoy a good jam-out to "Welcome to the Jungle" on occation a guy would have to have the correct drugged-out, was with five girls last night, don't care if I pee on your head while I sing attitude to pull that type of rock off correctly. In reguards to whoever mentioned Elvis, Bo would do a great "Suspicious minds."(One of my fave songs)That may even count for country since Dwight Yoakem redid the song. For country I would love if he did a good old fashioned Willie Nelson song.

>>WHIPPING POST done by Greg Allman<<Drugged up? Without a doubt. Headbanger? Not so much. The Allman Brothers are a 70's 'classic' rock band, not headbangers. And long-haired musicians don't make it a 'hair band', usage of more AquaNet than Wigstock makes a hair band. Headbangers & Hair Bands are more 80's & early 90's groups. Bo seems to be much more old school than that. (thankfully) More of a bluesy edge than a punk, metal or new wave edge. No Billy Idol, please - that wouldn't fit. Now, some psychadelic stuff...even older than what he's sung so far...that would be cool.

Bo cannot win the competition if he sings any more country songs!!!Carrie has the best voice for that genre and will eat his lunch. She is his major competition. Bo needs to ROCK, sing B.IDOL to be the next A.IDOL Billy just released a new CD so young people know he is back. Do not sing any ballads or country songs PLEASE.

"Bo is more 'Peace and free love' not 'Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll.' "Disagree. The good thing about Bo is that while he is "peace" (not necessarily free love), he makes you think of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll without being ostentatious about it (Constantine) -- all while being exciting and a class rock act. Bo has the passion for music and performing. He has naturalness and the talent to carry off this competition. Wonder if he'll do well with the AI contract if he wins -- perhaps take the experience to a whole new level?? P.S. I loved it when he said that three words describe his dancing, all versions of terrible. Funny (and humble).

I am sorry but I believe that Bo was NOT in the bottom 3. There is NO WAY Amwar and the Whitney Houston wannabe beat him. I don't care how good they did. There is NO WAY. I don't believe it. I believe this was a set up or the phones were messed up again. No way!

I think he did awesome too....and no matter if the guy had a "couple of off weeks" he certainly didn't deserve to be in the bottom three...my gosh...according to my calculations...Anwar and Anthony have had more the " off weeks"..what's up with that?Tough crowd out there....but, I have to admit..I had'nt been bothering to vote for Bo, because I assumed he would forever be "safe." Well, not this week...I made sure to vote!

I am sure his C.D. is fantastic, but what song does he need to sing next week to win?I thought thst was GREAT, not listening to the producers telling him to sing 70's dance music, and selecting the right song in order to win. "I'M YOUR VEHICLE" was never played in any "Dance Clubs" that I am aware of.

What songs do u think Bo will select for Tuesday's performance? He needs to Rock The House. I saw Billy Idol in concert in Boston on Friday night. He was absolutely fantastic LOL. The great Steve Stevens on lead guitar was out of this world !!! It was a great show. Catch him if he plays in your area, from one old rocker to another.

It will be Bo vs. Carrie in the finals, although Anthony has a solid voting group rooting for him.Bo cannot sing any country ballads. Carrie will beat him if he goes country. Sweet Child Of Mine is perfect,as I have said, for many weeks or something by Tom Petty. What 2 songs do you think he will sing next week regardless of the theme?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::cough:: Sorry. Had to get that out of my system. At any rate, if he really did wish to seem authentic, I think a bit of Dire Straits or Cheap Trick might suit Mr. Bice. Something easygoing, like So Far Away, Romeo and Juliet, or The Flame. Just to let him flex his voice out a little, instead of the usual picking-up-the-rat-bastard-microphone prancing crap. Carrie? should give a bit of props to Dolly Parton- I would love to hear Islands in the Stream Patsy Cline would be pretty classy, too. Ventilation goes HERE.
