"I had to laugh at Fiona....."
When she did her Wiccan Ritual. At the end she chanted the Goddesses names. That chant is acually a song by a british Goth band called Inkubus Sukkubus (yes, spelled like that) She sang it like it was a centuries old song. LOL Sorry.... Gaelraven

Oh Gael, thank you for sharing that bit of information! Fiona just keeps going down in my estimation. And I was very predisposed to like her a lot, based on what interactions I have had with the Wiccan people who post here & there on RTVW.
She is rapidly joining Don on my little list of self-deluded poseurs. Fun on the show, but please don't ask me to take either of them very seriously.

Her and Don do seem a bit self indulgent.
Being Pagan I do come in contact with many like her.
It's the showy side of Paganism I don't like.I'm a jeans kinda lady! I was on a Witchcraft message board on Google I think. Alot of people are not crazy about her representing Witches. One person said something that made alot of sense. It's TV if they Portrayed a real every day Witch. The show would be boring. Same goes for a Naturalist or a Vampire.

That Chant is a song called "Witches Chant" By that band.

This might be an example of the goth band stealing an ancient rite and coopting it for a song. I have a feeling that the Goth band "stole" a sacred rite and put it to music and popularized it. I bet you that's what's up.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with using a song in ritual. I've done it many times. It's not about the words per se, it's about the intent behind them.
Besides, the names used in the song are Goddess names so...

Some "Wiccan" come off that way. That's why many don't take them seriously.

Hi Gaelraven- nice to meet you!
I just wanted to note that I've been singing that chant since I learned it in 1995, and it was old even then. Inkubus Sukkubus didn't release their album until 2000- so it looks like Inkubus co-opted the chant for their own interpretation.
Just adding my two-cents way late after the fact.
