sinfiniti 1 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 09-15-07, 04:53 PM (EST) "ANTM Marathon" LAST EDITED ON 09-15-07 AT 04:57 PM (EST) I can't believe what I just watched....I feel like I'm either gonna boycott the show in my house or my head is going to pop off. I just watched the photo shoot of all these beautiful women posing as though they were VIOLENTLY MURDERED. I'm enraged. Everyday, women are violently, horribly mutilated by the partners who claim to love them. This feels like such an exploitation of violence against women. I'm mortified that ANTM & Tyra would exploit these images for the sake of "art" or whatever you want to call it. Everyday...EVERY...day, in the United State-- three women are murdered at the hands of their partner. More than 1400 people are murdered each year due to domestic violence (men, women and children) . These statistics do not include women who take their own lives or women who die from other occurances directly related to their abuse. I agree with Mags when she says there are other shows that have worse, more realistic violence. Are you going to boycott them too? At least with this photo shoot the viewers were told what the murder was all about. No men were involved in any of the scenraios and it was not realistic enough to make me disturbed. Perhaps it was the crew moving the "corpse" into better light or the chamging expressions on the face of the corpse.
