"Episode #2: unsuitable at any age."
LAST EDITED ON 03-14-11 AT 11:11 AM (EST)

Oh, Dionne. Silly, confrontational, attitude-locked Dionne. I wouldn't have any problems arguing with you.

Your wanna-be protege, however... her I'd probably just punch in the face.

*reconsiders*

Or maybe somewhere that she might have a few working nerves left.

So what lesson did Donald teach children last night? Ganging up is the way to go? Whenever you see a school bus, throw someone under it? Never volunteer? If you tiptoe around saying 'This person has brain damage' as best you can and it offends the target (who very arguably does), you have to put them in charge the following week? Explains a couple of Presidential administrations... And how about that never-failing Aesop, 'Forget logic, forget actual events, and forget reason. Just insist even louder!'

This isn't saying Lisa wasn't a weak project manager. She wasn't as bad as the others tried to make her out to be -- but she wasn't good. It's just showing what Donald wants in his scripts: conflict. The bigger a bitch you are (of any gender), the farther you'll advance. For details, see Hag, The. So those two? Are going for the winner's edit. Fun, right?

Oh, and I have to pointlessly call Donald out on this one too: 'The time to pick up your chips is when you're losing.' Not only is that funny coming from someone who's gone bankrupt, but he operates his casinos based on the principle that when the losing ends, you won't have any chips left. He'll have them, though. He'll have them all. And he won't feel sorry for you, because anyone weak enough to let themselves lose deserved it. But as a consolation prize, he'd like to give you this season's cast. Aren't they fun?

So now you've lost twice. And the second time was your lunch.

Note Richard's ability to fade into the background, Jose's love of drag, and Marlee's 'Why are other people letting that live?' face.

"If You Give A Diva A Cookie".....

She will not only eat IT, she will eat YOU, and every one in site so that she will remain the only Diva left in the building, in town, in the country, and in HER mind, the world. Yes, World Domination via Diva! Star Jones and Dionne Warlock will obtain it, thanks to Mr. Trump.

This episode literally made me sick to my stomach. The way they bullied Marlie, the way they threw Lisa under the bus, and the way THEY decided, on their own, without ANYONE'S help, that this book should bear THEIR names??

Too bad it didn't. It was a total dud. And as Don Jr. said, been there, done that, about....60 something years ago. And how many kids have NOT seen The Wizard of Oz?? OMG, LaToya's brother even did a hip-hop version of it!!

Excuse me, I feel the gag reflex coming on, and I forgot my paper bag.....

Trump really does encourage them to lie. Don't be honest and admit anything or he will send you home. I laughed when he told Lisa that her team lost, she was PM and the others want her gone. So he has to fire her. That was the description of Richard last week. But Richard got to stay because he was the bigger beyotch. Lisa committed the sin of not being nasty enough. I actually think Lisa was ready to go home. She was not having a good time being ganged up on by the mean girls.

Dionne and Star and their smug looks really did turn my stomach. I expect it from Star. I have never liked her. But Dionne was rather shocking. Her rudeness to Marlee was completely uncalled for. At least Marlee tried to stand up for Lisa. The others quietly sat in their safe corner. Don't they realize with Lisa gone the mean girls will move on to their next target?

I think who won was a toss up. Trump could have given that win to either team. The men lost last week. So it was easy for him to say the women lost this week and even out the teams.

My fear is that Star is being set up as the winner for this season.

But Dionne was rather shocking. Her rudeness to Marlee was completely uncalled for.

There were at least two points during the episode where Marlee's expression suggested she was thinking about introducing Dionne to Universal Sign Language, also known as 'two fists, two feet, no waiting.' There might have been one when she was actually accessing her odds. 'Hitting a seventy year-old: justifiable. Chances of taking her: pretty good. Probability that her flunky will risk her precious self by stepping in: zero...' They don't need to know that much about diversity, Dionne? No problem. All the characters are now white. Here's your makeup. Layer it on thick. You should have no problem with this whatsoever -- by your own definition.

And by the way, Jack can still translate for you perfectly well if you look at Marlee when you're talking to her.

I was impressed by how Marlee held it in - a lesser person would have gone nuclear on Dionne in that situation.

Lisa completely blew it - she should have gone into attack mode and hammered home the point about how she had to think of the team first and overrule the prima donnas on the point of wanting their names on the book. I think if she had done that and kept going back to that point, she would still be in the game and Dionne would have been history. You could see that Donald did a double-take when he heard that they wanted their names on the book the first time ... so this was a major missed opportunity for Lisa to assert herself. By not doing so, she richly deserved to be fired last night.

I wondered when Donald was complimenting Lisa's new lips
if Latoya was thinking of all her own plastic surgery.
My goodness! Does she really think her tiny pointed nose is attractive? The surgeon should be sued. Truly I can barely bare to look at her; she looks terrible (as did Michael).

I know I know, being critical of appearances is petty - but she puts herself out there so she's fair game.

LaToya has a good heart. The very few of us who watched Armed & Famous know how hard she works to live with and overcome everything her family inflicted on her. (They put her out there. I don't think she ever would have originally gone by choice.) She tries. When she takes action, I'll consider bashing her for them. But not her appearance and not her quirks. As far as I'm concerned, she's a victim.

As for Donald's compliments -- any time someone who runs a beauty pageant starts talking about appearance, it comes out as 'I insist that you look this way. You are a failure if you do not look like the exact image I'm describing. Only my standards exist and no other. Self-confidence and appreciation of who you are should always take a back seat to killing yourself. Knife?'

But that's pretty much how everything he says comes out, so it may just be echoes.

I have actually never heard of Armed and Famous, but I do know that the Jackson family, more than likely the younger ones, were abused by the father in many ways. And in that respect, I do feel bad for them. But they do have/had an amazingly priviledged life. Yes, they've paid an awful price for it, and LaToya seems to actually have a good heart and head. I hope to see more of her personality come out as the episodes go on. She seemed genuinely peeved and overwhelmed by the entire Diva's on Parade Escapade last night! If ANYONE knows about fame and power, it would be her.

Armed & Famous was a short-lived CBS reality series which had five low-level celebrities go through real police training (three-week academy course) before being partnered up with senior officers and sent to patrol the streets of Muncie, Indiana. LaToya was one of the five.

The series is notable for being underloved, having one of the worst theme songs in television history -- and for managing to get a cast where nearly everyone was taking their rookie office status completely seriously. It took most of the group about five seconds to work out 'If I screw this up, I could die', and the fish out of water concept turned into fish learning to fly. LaToya did the best she could with what she had -- but it was easy to see just how wounded she was.

Workmen are replacing my HVAC unit, so I'm at home all day, nothing to do. So I'm watching DVR'd Apprentice. After the Joan/Melissa fiasco I had decided not to, but here I am again. Ok, I checked it out. I gave it a chance. I'm a good person.

Now all I feel like doing is upchucking into the Trumps Limo.

What is it with Trump, with the Melissa/Joan fiasco, and this season's Jones/Windbag fiasco in making? I'll bet 50 MCR points that Star wins it all.

Star Jones joins Joan Rivers as just about the most unentertaining, most repellent people they could possibly come up with. Warwick has always been a pretty spacey character, but I never though of her as vindictive and mean. Before this. I thought that as the older and wiser person there she would have been the voice of reason, the calming influence. I was wrong. She's a windbag.

Switching over to Matlock reruns.

I thought that Hatch was cute in his little girl outfit. I hope Rudy saw him!

Busey, Meatloaf and Lil Jon were also fun to watch.

I simply tuned out the women because it was evident they were edited to lose this one. Star, Dionne and Nene seemed to have built an alliance and only Marlie stands in their way. The rest? They seem to be the ones that can't speak. Purple Kelly was more vocal than them.

Now that's an insult.

NeNe's not-so-grand media tour has her bashing Ms. Jones at every stop, so that prospective alliance may have a turncoat-in-waiting.

And what makes you think Rudy would ever watch this? It's got a Trump on it!

A Trump? Doesn't the show also have Hewey, Dewey and Louise?

As for Rudy, if he did watch, he'd laugh at Hatch.

Nene was certainly riding the "get Lisa fired" bandwagon. If she wants to get Star fired, I won't stop her, even if it gets her fired instead.

That's a potential mini-spoiler: the last two haven't had an on-camera incident yet. Of course, given the person they're fighting with, showing every last battle would mean eighteen-hour episodes using unedited footage. Aired daily.

I agree with you -- Star was a five-star witch, and Dionne wasn't much better. I'd have been happy to see either one go, especially Star. Unfortunately, there were good reasons to fire Lisa. Lisa was a weak Project Manager, she crumbled under pressure first when she agreed to take the role of PM and then in the Boardroom, and finally she didn't have enough of a backbone, especially in the Boardroom. Those three errors outweighed the errors of Dionne and Star.
