He was right- this was not Lenny's fault because the team liked the idea. Trump was absolutely wrong and unfair in today's boardroom. Funny thing is the editing illustrated that point. Trump kept saying that was a lousy idea. It was actually a good idea. It was poorly executed. For Trump to tell tarrick and Lee to tell Lenny he is on the hot seat was also wrong. The problem with the ad was that it was not clear that the guy was a castaway. Then also the other problem was that there was no voice over. Lenny stated the ad needed a voice over and no one backed him up. Lenny was actuall the star performer on this task. Now maybe Dan should've beenm fired for poor execution, but not for not bringing Lenny into the boardroom. Dan was right EVERYONE on the team liked his idea. And it was a good idea. Lenny got raked over the coals mistakenly. Actaully anyone but lenny should've been fired. Another thing Donald is way too tough on Tarrick. "RE: Dan was right about Lenny" I think Dan didn't want Lenny in the boardroom because Lenny had good defense: 1) Though the are-you-crazy? castaway idea was Lenny's, the team embraced it, including Dan, and as PM, he should have seen this shipwreck coming and turned hard to starboard. 2) If Dan had attacked Lenny over the castaway concept, you can bet Lenny was going to come right back with, "Oh, yeah? And who vas thee beeg boob who not leesen to Lenny when Lenny tries to tall heem people cannot read fast enough to take een all hees preety text and to get voiceofer, even eef Lenny have to does it heemself? Peoples can understands spoken Russian better than they can understands Sputnik-speed font." (Apologies to BTA Lenny impersonator.
