Keep your eyes open for the Simple Life Atlantic City episodes. They are guests in a home in a tiny shore town 6 miles from AC called Longport, NJ. This is where my mom lives(it was a summer home for us until she permanently retired there several years ago-I am 1 hour away). This was filmed in mid January.

Producers hit the local surf shop in Margate, NJ (next town over) looking for someone to take them in. They were a little disappointed that there were no beach shacks to stay in, but Longport isn't that kind of town. Anyway it turns out that they were 3 blocks from me. Not too many people knew what was up until after the fact, so I found out too late to do any stalking! I was kind of disappointed, I would have loved to have seen them in person.

Anyway, the girls stopped into the surf shop, their dogs pooped all over the floor, they hit a local childrens shop and dressed a little boy like a girl and ate in a local deli. They did their fire department stuff and partied on Sat. night at the Quarter in the Tropicanna in AC. (Which is right next to the AC Hilton...hmmm).

They drew quite a crowd at their stops in Margate and some local kids spotted them at their host house, but otherwise, it was pretty quiet. The tip off was the police blocking the street where they stayed. Longport/Margate is pretty deserted in the winter-strictly locals and retirees. Lots of celebrities stay here anyway, especially when they are performing in the casinos, so the locals are usually pretty nonchalant. Plus, Paris & Nicole don't impress as much as say, Frank Sinatra (back in the day) or Cher. Still trying to get some scoop on the stay, but no one is really talking--contractual probably. I'll post more when I get more scoop!

It was a trip that those girls were in my 'hood. I really wish I would have been tipped off, but it'll be fun to see my town on tv. I am dying to see how they represent it.
