Another blog by Christie attempting to convince readers of what she thinks is her legitimate "celebrity" status...the number one single right now was inspired by ME, getting my journal on SO!! It was written by my AMAZING NEW FRIEND!! So buy my dollar store candles and junky charms now while you can still afford them!! What kills me about Christie is how she wants us to believe that she is a BIG STAR, yet she needs people to send their pennies to her bogus "Raising Cain college fund". Someone had posted under her comments that she is not legit...she told me (now not knowing who the he** I am, that what she is doing is legimate and to go back to my friends on the "meanness forums." Now honestly, I was going to donate money to her. At the end of a couple of emails I asked her if this was how SO and her recovery support group taught her how to communicate. I have to say now that I believe she is a fraud. I so wanted to believe in her, because of the place I come from. Can I suggest you all opening up a myspace and go to her comments to let others know what this woman is up too? I say that is a wonderful way to call out someone. I also sent her an email to her email address (actually 3) and got no response. Surprised? Nope because she was caught red handed. If someone truly set up a fund they would not mind answering any and all questions to support the fund. Something is VERY fishy. It just makes me sick to my stomach to think that Cain is in her care. Christie, GET A JOB!! NO I MEAN A REAL JOB!! Your candles s**K!!! You can be sober but if you don't change somethings in your life you will remain how you were when you were drinking, which by your response to me, that is EXACTLY what has happened. I hope you are reading this. It would bring such satisfaction for me because I know you know who I am.

Yes I would post a comment on her blog area. I have posted before on peoples w/o having to get approval. It wouldn't hurt to try.
I am disgusted with her now. On AOL message board I have been standing up for her. NOW, I wish I hadn't. I like to give others the benefit of doubt but she went over the line. They haven't deleted myspace account yet. Here was my email and her response. The top part is her response:
It is not a charity. Cain's college fund was started by me
before SO. It is a college savings account. 10% is going to his future. 90% is going to raise him now. The candles are a way for me to remind people of growth and change. I decided with whatever sales the candles made I would contribute to Cain's future. I think that if someone is thinking of contributing to your foundation for your brother there shouldn't be a problem in asking questions. I do not have children, I will be sober 8 years tommorrow and know how it feels to be in a bind. I really wanted to help but now your email seems to be very rude and insinuating that I am part of some meanness forum? I sent you an email earlier this month congratulating you on your progress in SO. If you go to the SO message board on AOL you will SEE that I have done nothing but SUPPORT YOU!!! Forgive me for asking questions. You just blew a great contribution to your brothers fund. The reason I asked for a charity number.. is because of tax write offs. I contribute to funds annually. I will just take my $$ to someone who will appreciate it rather than question it. So tell me did you learn this type of communication in the Starting Over house and in your journey of recovery?

Christy's supporters must not realize that they're ALREADY supporting her.I've said this before and I'll say it again. We're ALL supporting her. Those of us who pay taxes anyway. I'm just hoping that someone, somewhere (like her case worker maybe)would have the brains to see whats going on and put an end to it. Or atleast take away the welfare check and give it to someone rightly deserving of it. There are a lot of poor children out there in desperate need of a professional pedicure. If she keeps putting herself out there like she does, it's only a matter of time before she falls flat on her face. Christy will be like the horse who had too much rope, she's just too stupid to see it. AND FOR PETE'S SAKE CHRISTY, would you hurry up and learn already that there are 3 seperate uses and spellings for the word there/their/they're.
I know you struggle with the big words, but atleast try to learn it like a big girl and maybe next week we can move on to an even bigger word, like "JOB"!!!!

If this was NOT a charity fund for your brother, then why didn't you explain that when you starting selling your candles. You sure led others to believe it was a "charity." I think you need to look up the definition of "charity." Well, I guess that explains Jodi taking it off her space and you taking it off of ebay. How sad that you have to resort to lying only to be caught. I am in the process of contacting someone in regards to what you are doing. It's unethical!! Period no matter how you slice it. Instead of getting Cain a pedicure, how about some clothes, shoes, socks, FOOD or SCHOOL BOOKS!! Now that would be the RIGHT thing to do. So, let's get this straight: Christie has no problem answering "any questions regarding Cain's college fund as long as they are asked with respect". Now, as I understand the definition of the word "respect", and taking into consideration the context in which Christie used the word, I would feel confident saying that Christie is promising to address any "Cain college fund" inquiry if it is legitimate and couched in polite expression. I honestly do not know if there was a more respectful or polite way to ask the questions that lying'Christie asked.The problem here is that Christie has her own barometer of what constitutes respect and what constitutes "the kind of energy" (would they just speak English???) that SO "taught her not to subscribe to". It would appear as though Christie's idea of politeness and respect has more to do with gushing letters of limitless praise, blessing, and support, and impolite or disrespectful energy is anything that makes her have to think about an answer other than, "Thank you for your support" or "love and peace" or "honor yourself", etc. She really needs to learn, and she will, that real society doesn't operate that way, especially when money or business is involved. Christy will discover that "negative energy" abounds on the really big playing fields. If she wants to be a celebrity, a guest speaker, or a hostess (whatever that is), she is going to have to develop a rapport with the general public, and a respect for the check writers. She has no idea who she rejected today, and that is a foolish move for someone who doesn't know right from left in the public arena. When I looked at the phrasing of the poster's questions, "lying'christie", I was impressed. She even stated that she was supporter, and she mentioned her pro-Christie posts on an AOL site as proof. I didn't notice anything in the questions that attacked Christie or assumed that her motives were impure. I saw a person who has the ability to make a substantial donation to a cause that she deems worthy and legitimate. She probably has that ability because she is careful about spending, investing, saving, and donating her money. Christie might have just dismissed a donation that would have really made an impact. I challenge Christie to validate her opinion that any of these questions were phrased in a hateful manner: 1. "I was wondering if you have the charity ID number?" 2. "Can you please give me more details? I would like to make a wonderful contribution, but would like to hear more about the fund." 3. "Did you make the candles yourself or buy them and then 'decorate them with love'? Sorry, but they look like store bought candles - which is fine - but I really want to make sure after I make my contribution - which will be substantial - that I am really getting what the description says." 4. "Hope the bidding is going well. Can you clear some of this up for me?" I see words like please, sorry, wonderful, substantial, and well. The balance of the verbiage is nothing more than questioning the product description. Personally, I think point #3 caused Christie to blow her stack. They are not handmade candles, and if Christie had just addressed that as soon as she realized that people were reading her description that way, this wouldn't be such an issue anymore. The problem is, Christie feels like a fraud because she will not tell the truth. She cannot even be truthful about a stupid votive candle, because in doing so, she'll feel inferior. That's sad. When you feel like a fraud, what comes out of your mouth is often rude, short, presumptive, and accusatory. Case in point, Christie's response to the questions. 1. "It's not a charity. I have not asked people to give gifts or donate, etc." - Actually, she has. By saying, "as always, 10% of the proceeds will go to the CCF...", she is making the fund a public issue, and she is growing the fund with public money. She is doing what lots of companies do when they earmark a percentage of their product proceeds for a particular cause or charity. Anyway, why didn't her SO experience kick in at this point...you know, the stuff the LC's preached about not putting your garbage on other people because they "trigger" you. Instead of banning this person to the outer realms of her MySpace page (oh no!), Christie needs to see this person in the same way that she claims to see Niambi - as a "gift". How hard would it have been for Christie to say, in her own words, of course: "I apologize if I gave you the impression that this was a bona fide charity. It isn't - it's just a small effort I've been making to put aside as much as I can to make sure my brother can have a college education. This is going to be a tough road for me, so I've opened a savings account for Cain, and that's where the 10% proceeds go. I haven't had any other offers for donations, and while I so appreciate your offer, I would certainly understand if you wanted to rescind it at this point. If not, I could talk to a financial adviser about setting up some kind of formal account for Cain. Of course, if Cain doesn't go to college, every penny (plus any interest accrued) will be returned to you. Either way, I'm sending you one of my candels as a gift to bless you." 2. ...e-mails like yours from people making "mysape" friend requests to bash me. Please spread the word to your other friends and stay on your own forum for spewing "meaness". Talk about rushing to judgment and conviction. What a paranoid and silly woman. Her world will continue to get smaller and smaller as the paranoia overwhelms her. She learned nothing at SO except what the behavior of the LC's and HG's taught her: when people hit you the wrong way, trust your intuition - don't give them the benefit of a doubt, and don't assume that it is your own bad mood or raging hormones making you upset. Just attack - then wrap it all up with your metaphysical bow. In this case: "This is a hate free zone", and then some equally vapid closing sentiment like Peace & Love. Then you can enjoy the self-righteous, (but destructive) feeling you have that you just honored yourself. Give us a break Christie. You are as mean as the dry drunk. Why? Because you learned some insidious lessons from the role models of those two powerful and dictatorial life coaches. While at SO, you may have been off the booze and pills (although I'm not entirely convinced), but the teaching you received taught you to feed that part of your being that caused you to shipwreck your life by the age of 30. This time, the nurture came in the form of the far more accessible and affordable opiates of selfishness, prejudice, judgment, self-importance, false humility, egotism, and the belief that you matter above all else, and that even general policies will be instituted to protect you from yourself (i.e., no alcohol for any SO HG). Sorry dear, but those things are not the same as self-respect, self-love, self-esteem, and self-actualization. Detoxing from this one will prove to be the fight of your life.

BTW, did anyone notice how those charms Christie is selling say "START OVER" instead of "STARTING OVER"? She is unethical when it comes to scamming $$$ for her bogus charity, fund, whatever she chooses to call it, but she was careful to not use "STARTING OVER" on the charms so there wouldn't be any legal issues with Bunim/Murray. Yet the saying is close enough to allow her to capitalize on her SO appearance.

Speaking of the "Instant Beauty Pageant", I googled it, and one of the results was a post on a messageboard by someone who witnessed this show being filmed at the "Block at Orange", which is a shopping mall in CA. (I don't know if it was Christie's episode.) It was humorous, because the poster said no one in the crowd seemed to care what the "Instant Beauty Pageant" was. He said they tried to get people from the crowd to be judges, but no one wanted to do it. He also said the whole thing was filmed with camcorders instead of "professional" equipment.HaHa, glad Christie thinks that this makes her a "star". Wonder if she thinks all the guests on Jerry Springer need "agents" too?

It apparently got the "green light".This show sounds like it would be very cheap to produce...if they give the contestants money to "make themselves over", I'm betting the goods/services are donated by the stores in the mall in exchange for free advertising on TV.

I'm not sure that the potential comedy value of this show is enough to get me to look at the first episode.

She later admitted to Iyanla that she used that $$$ and A LOT more to shop, SHOP, & S-H-O-P some more. She knew she was returning to television so I guess she wanted to be seen sporting a new outfit every day. But even after she returned to the SOH she bought even more .... clothes, jewlery, shoes & general junk. My guess ... she believed in her head that stardom was a given & all the clothes & jewelry were simply an investment that would easily be repaid with the millions she'd soon be making as a SUPA-STAH. Once she spent all her $$, everything others sent, plus charged every credit card up to the max, Iyanla helped her declair bankruptcy. I can't remember what the total amount of her debt was but most of it was credit card debt rather than medical bills. Needless to say, those who believed in her plight & sent her $$ felt taken. Others were upset that she was conning people, using the cancer to play on people's sympathies for a way to spend more time at the mall! She was flooded with messages ... and not the ones filled with praise & adoration she so loved receiving! She quickly dismantled her web site, leaving only a short message.

DO we need to do something special when we order to be sure it gets to you?" LOL, no, just send your $$$$$$! Also, Christie's new website is still under construction but I think she made the following change: when you click on the "Raising Cain" tab, it simply says "Stories about Cain". I think it used to say "Info on the Raising Cain Fund" or something like that.

In response to the thread question of How does Chrisite support herself.....she doesn't! We the working people do. She doesn't support herself at all. She's just selling her crap on eBay tyring to scam people. I also don't see her as having learned much of value during her stay on SO nor do I see her being a role model for anyone unless it is for other people who truly don't want to make anything of their life and want to be a drain on society. She has that down pat. She has no people skills, lacks common sense has no taste (her tacky eBay items for an example)and she is extremely lazy. Sadly I bet her brother will turn out the same if he is indeed stuck living with her. I wonder if her sister (who is much more attractive than Christie is) has a real job and a real life. When she was at the race she looked more successful than Christie does. Christie had a golden opportunity and she squandered it away so as not to take responsibility for her life. Sometimes I feel she is a waste of human flesh.

With the move, raising Cain, and trying to live the life my soul intended the last few weeks I have been scared and feeling that stuck feeling. Wanting to check out, but showing up anyway.
I am Scared of the unknown.....What does my future hold? Scared of the past..... the messes I have made and now have to clean up. Sacred of the present..... am I being the best parent, sister, guardian I can be?sacred of the future...... Can I do this? Can I handle it all? Can I make a difference in this world? Can I continue to love and accept myself even though it's summer and I live at the beach with all these hot young girls in bikini's running around?(seriously it came up again!) I was warned when I got home the true work would begin, but I truly had no idea. I was on this amazing high. I felt on top of the world. I thought I was done with all this nonsense of insecurity. IT IS NEVER OVER! the journey/ work is never done!
Don't get me wrong...I know I am BLESSED! I now have Self Realization and it's a #####! But I wouldn't give it up for a million bucks. Just a harsh dose of reality has set in. The real world was and is still going on. I have come home to people that are still the same even though I have changed. I have come home to the reality of people being harsh, and rude, and mean even when I am venerable and open with my heart. Of smiling at others and not getting a smile back in return. I have had to consciously be aware not to call out my ##### in the "old Christie' to the cynics.
However, there have been wonderful amazing people that override the ugliness. Thank you for your selflessness Judy and Stephanie and all of the others that have and want to contribute their support to help me love Cain. I can not express my gratitude enough.
Today I was feeling overwhelmed with all of these emotions and still trying to figure out how to live my purpose to inspire others to Dare to change when I read this passage in God Calling. I knew as soon as I read the words they must be shared with you.

Was she correct in using venerable, which means: commanding respect by virtue of age, dignity, character, or position -- or, did she really mean to use the word vulnerable, which means: open to censure or criticism; assailable? I believe she meant to use the word vulnerable. Spelling errors are one thing, but using words incorrectly is another ballgame (and she probably uses them incorrectly when she's speaking as well). Does anyone really believe that this woman ran a resume writing service? I wonder if she has a single legitimate reference from a satisfied customer to offer as proof. I would expect someone in that line of work to have better than average grammar and spelling skills. Then again, I guess Christie ran a one woman operation, which is odd when you consider how limited her skills are. Actually, I'm wondering if she ever had a client who corrected her "work" with a red pencil and then sent it back to her with a big C- on the top.

• that she posts without proofreading or checking the spelling of even the simplest words. OK, I'll admit, I can't spell worth anything and I'm sure I've misspelled plenty of words in my posts. But I'm talking more about ads intended to illicit sales &/or blogs meant for her massive audience for their enlightenment and for Christie to serve as an example. I also found it interesting how she is attempting to use Jill's example of stroking a few egos by mentioning the names of "fans" in her blog. Does the mention of the two names mean she's gotten 2 whole donations?

Christie, don't beg when you are capable of supporting yourself but just don't want to. If you want to be an inspiration to your brother or anyone else on the planet go do something inspirational. Whining on national television isn't inspiring and begging others to send you their hard earned money when you are too lazy to earn it yourself isn't inspiring. Being chosen as top freak for a reality freak show is actually rather embarrassing and certainly wouldn't be something I'd ever want to aspire to. So don't do us any favors by trying to inspire us unless you are planning to work hard and become a contributing, respectable citizen.

LAST EDITED ON 06-16-06 AT 12:08 PM (EST)So the day is finally here... Cain's last day of school! Wahoo! I am sooo proud of that young man. He is an amazing kid. He brought his grades up from F's - C's and B's! He is now at a 2.40 average. We had an agreement that if he could bring his grades up to at least a C average I would buy him a bike at the end of the school year. I am proud to announce Cain is a proud owner of a brand new Diamond Back Bicycle.
I am just amazed that in the four short months that he has been in my care how much progress he has made. We are finally working together and really becoming a family unit. In the beginning we had the honeymoon period. He was great for the first 4-6 weeks. He seemed happy just to be out of his misery with his dad. Then when I really started to enforce new rules and boundaries he flipped. He was defiant and angry, and pissed off at the world. He reminded me so much of my former self I was not sure I wanted to strangle it out of him or love him through it. He triggered everything in me. He has been my greatest gift. He has helped me continue to heal my inner child and have compassion and patience for him and myself.
There were some days that I was not sure I could do it. I cried, laughed, screamed and yelled into my pillow and I will admit a few times at him too. But I was always able to go back to him and apologize for my behavior. Hopefully teaching him that it is ok to do things wrong and it's ok to take responsibility and admit it and ask for forgivness.
Many of you kind souls sent me e-mails about my God Calling blog the other day that touched every part of my being and woke me up once again to the big picture. One message inparticular said " Just remember that you are saving your brother from years of pain that you had to endure." writing it now brings tears to my eyes and a ache to my chest.
My purpose is to RAISE CAIN and to PAY IT FORWARD to this little person that would have not had a chance otherwise. Thank you all for helping me continue to realize what a blessing he is to me and I am to him. I know he will grow into a fine man.
Judy thank your for contributing towards Cain's bike and we are going bedroom furniture shopping this weekend. He has also picked out some cool posters for his room and they are on the way!we will post pictures soon. He is really settling in and he is MINE forever!
Look at your children tonight with love, patience, and pride. Don't forget to tell them how much you love them and how wonderful they are as human becomings! Much love!
Christie OKAY...so christie should change her words from:I would buy him a bike at the end of the school year.
to: my biggest fan JUDY will buy him a bike. not that christie earned 1 penny for that bike herself. the greedy woman took money out of her "fans" pocket to buy him that bike. and where was JODI, why didn't she buy him the bike????? i don't have the energy to look, but i'm sure their are MANY spelling errors... haha

I am beginning to wonder if Cain living with christie is just a bunch of bunk anyway. I may be wrong, I am not too interested in Christie post SO because of her actions, however, all I have seen is one photo of Cain. There were two versions of it. Black toe nails and then black toe nails cutoff. If you are going to exploit your younger brother for your own gain and you had access to him whenever you wanted it, wouldn't you take more photos? I know he's a child and I even hesitate that she should even have that one weird one up on the net with his toe nails getting painted but it just doesn't really sound like he's really present in her life. I would show how happy he is with me, all the stuff I do with him thanks to all of my glorious fans and their endless wallets. I would make it like a "feed the children" campaign, with Cain sending personal thanks yous. lol.
If Cain is such a big part of all of this, then why do we only hear about what christie is doing? Only photos of Christie? I know that's how she operates but maybe the kid isn't even with her at all. Nobody really has any proof. My red flag was raised with that strange photo. Why didn't she get another one besides the toe nail cutting one, for her site? I also wonder about Cain's father. I mean, he must have heard about these scams. I bet he wants a piece of the action. Cain is 12 years old, right? I can't imagine his sister going on a talk show and disclosing that he lives in a car and the child services don't do anything about it. Why hasn't his school stepped in before?

Yeah sure, that isn't going to last, either. As for Cain living in a car, who knows. Maybe he did spent a night or two in a car but it wouldn't surprise me to learn Christie embellished that situation to further her scam. Same as she's done with her fantastical modeling career, resume service (lol), and past history of drinking/drugging. I also don't believe she's that caught up in her self-image, either--it's just another ruse she uses to derail people from learning the truthful basis of her bleak life--that she's a total deadbeat--is, was, and forever will be. Hopefully, CPS and his school keeps an eye on Cain. If not, I expect the boy will be finding ways and means to rebel against the world at large, thanks to Christie, a narcissist who obviously doesn't have one iota of love for anyone but herself.
And her use of God now is just another unbelievably transparent tool she'll use to gain even more sympathy.

YIKES! I'd say, of all Christie's blogs so far, this is the most disturbing. Christie’s expertise on child rearing ….… ::just sitting here shaking my head:: (if you can imagine this – I am speechless!!) Did they not lead us to believe Cain was living in that car with their mother and anything Christie could provide would be better than that? Why all the secrecy? Were they afraid if they mentioned that Cain was actually living with his father rather than in a car that not enough people would take pity on the poor kid? And why not mention the father if that situation was as bad or worse than the mother’s? No names would ever have to be aired. Knowing how SO operated this year, if Cain’s situation living with his father really was so bad, I suspect they would have brought that out for drama purposes. And Christie loves a good pity story, she would have used it to solicit more money. This little fact alone should convince everyone Christie is simply manipulating people and taking advantage their good will.
It is one thing to get conned into sending money … it’s a totally different story when you are dealing with the life of a child. If Cain has gone back & forth between his parents, moving him yet again, could really do some damage … especially moving him into a home with a sister who has yet to face her addictions (IF they were real), is a complete narcissist, is unable to take care of herself, and who lives in a sick fantasy land where she is a beautiful, popular, celebrity and a strong, capable, independent role model for all women. There are a few people who do see Christie this way and are sadly keeping this delusion alive. And using Christie for a role model … well, that IS a scary thought!!! … especially if it involves child rearing in any way! It seems that Christie is still functioning off comments and input from others, not anything that comes from her own brain and heart. I fear for Cain’s future when SO is barely a memory and Christie doesn’t have admiring & inspirational words from others to help her keep her head. Raising a child from infancy is hard enough and confusing enough. Taking in a troubled 12 year old (which Cain would be if he did live as Christie would have everyone believe) would be extremely difficult for 2 ADULTS. And Christie publicly patting herself on the back for having saved her brother, for being responsible for bringing up his grades, making him happy, and for turning him into a wonderful “young man” after “four short months” not only makes me want to puke, but for Cain’s sake, it worries me. If Cain’s life was soo bad and he has been so damaged, four months could not correct a damaged childhood. And Christie taking credit for any changes is going to bring more rebellion from this guy than Christie can possibly handle.
The statements in that blog just proves once again just how egotistical and delusional Christie is and as tac_2 said, ”she's a total deadbeat--is, was, and forever will be.” What happens when Cain rebels with more fervor (and he will) and Christie cannot strong-arm him into doing as she says? And what happens when “Judy” or TaTa Jodi aren’t able to supply the next material “toys” that Cain wants? And, as tac_2 also brought out, what will Christie do when Cain is ”belittled and unmercifully browbeat” by school-mates because his sister is publicly discussing very personal information about him in order to beg for money? When Christie is no longer able to get enough money by begging, when Cain becomes more of a handful than he already is, and when Christie needs another personal “attention fix”, what becomes of Cain then? Will he be moved AGAIN? Abandoned AGAIN? Christie has enough mental problems for one lifetime. If any of Christie’s story is true, Cain could very well end up with even MORE! For Cain’s sake, I hope creepyoldwoman’s suspicions prove to be true … (post #100 above) that maybe Cain doesn’t really live with Christie since she has already proven that she would do anything to exploit her younger brother for her own gain yet has only one picture of him on the internet … rather loads of them plastered all over the internet of all the loving things she is doing with & for Cain.
