managerr 1959 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Herbal Healing Drugs Endorser" 10-08-03, 05:52 PM (EST) "These (fake) players have no strategy?" Despite the over the top scenarios of this show, the one thing that doesn't make sense is the seemingly random voting. Shouldn't even fake contestants be voting according to some sort of strategy? For example, if you were to dissect last night's voting: If you rationalize the most obvious voting, you have: Ashleigh --> Molly Kip --> Molly Hutch --> Kip Matt --> Ashleigh But then you have 2 votes that totally don't make sense: Brian --> Molly Molly --> Kip Why on Earth would Brian be voting for Molly and why would Molly vote for Kip? Why isn't Ashleigh on a ##### rampage trying to find out who keeps voting for her? Isn't Matt wondering why Molly isn't voting Ashleigh? I don't think there is a strategy, other than maybe minor little details lucky for them, Matt doesn't pick it up. Molly --> Kip his safety in mind since the Hutch is back? And I think Ashleigh knows who is voting for her since she knows Matt is really fed up with her, and has been for a while now. Brian voting for Molly I'm not too sure about. Funny how people are complaining about a lack of reality in a fake show. My impression from the beginning was that the purpose wasn’t to just put one over on him, but to see how far they could go in the parody of it all without him finding out. They intended to give him opportunities to realize something’s not right in this environment, and the voting is likely part of it. I thought it was more questionable when he seemed to have a large majority against Ashleigh the day Earl left...why didn’t they show him questioning other people on that?? Going from Ashleigh to Earl is a big swing, yet he hasn’t asked anyone WHY they felt a need to vote him out? They hardly ever show strategy talks, which either isn't going on, or will be on the collector's series dvd set! The "strategy" has to keep the thread of believability going for Matt. All too fragile, it's been compromised a few times already, no thanks to the model on the floaty last night either, asking about Kip's behavior. I liked Brian's summary of the worst acting ever for Lance on the pool scene. You have to just let the show be what it is and appreciate it's simple brilliance. I thought they didnt want to give him an opportunity to realize something was going on and not right in the environment, it could blow the whole show and it'd end there.. "Only Matts "Voting"" I'm pretty sure early in the game the said Matt was the only one voting. The other "contestants" were putting down gibberish on their paper such as "Hutch has Body oder", or "Molly lives on Mars". The producers decided what the vote count would be not the players. "RE: Only Matts "Voting"" I think that the whole point of this thread is that the writers would determine a voting strategy for the players. Sounds to me like the original poster is questioning whether the ending (the votes) makes sense given how the story has been presented. For example, Matt was the only vote for Ashleigh. True, the writers couldn't determine who he was going to vote for. But now you have a whole group of contestants who had been willing to vote her out in an earlier round who are now voting for other people. You also have Matt as a lone vote on his own, completely cut off from alliances. Given the voting patterns, there are no clear alliances. Given that every reality show has alliances among the players, particularly at this point in the game, the complete lack of alliances could seem odd and might lead Matt to suspect something. They don't seem to know how much lattitude to use in their improv and/or being micro managed by the director. Matt never questions the voting, and he never asks who voted for whom. Now that Molly is gone, I'll be surprised if he doesn't ask the others why Molly. He went from analyzing everything to analyzing nothing, strange.
