"Q: When is a cliff hanger not a cliff hanger?"
A: When the very existence of the cliff hanger is indicative of a special circumstance, and when a special 90 minute version of the show is announced for the following week.

I thought it was a good idea for the producers to remove the men from the women's elimination ceremony. They had no reason to be there, and it only gave Tiny Tim an oppourtunity to snicker. But, I think it would have been a blast to have the male actors there when Ingrid gets eliminated. In my version, the male actors would have been told that Ambrosia was being eliminated, but when Ingrid was eliminated, their jaws would drop.

LAST EDITED ON 06-29-04 AT 09:46 AM (EST)

and here I thought you'd given up on the show.

Ingrid has been so awesome with her refusal to believe any of this shat is real...this is turning into the producer schmoe show. I'm having more fun watching them scramble and fight amongst themselves about what to do.

IMO, while I might not bring Ingrid back into the fold, the PRIME thing to do at this junction would be to eliminate (obviously not just acting) moron Cammy in a super shocking twist. Dumbarse b1tch stops to wait for the cameraman to change tapes while giving a supposed personal confession to Ingrid. Yeah..the producers could keep Ingrid around another day or so by disqualifying Cammy for her soft-porn past after bachelor austin has made his decision, thus in affect forcing Ingrid to stay another day, knowing she was going to be eliminated.

THAT my friends would cause some very interesting drama in the house and then they could just kick her to the curb the next day. Ingrid is pretty much MAKING this show for them this year, once she's gone...I dont see Tim providing too much entertainment value. He pretty much just goes along with whatever which while that was the original premise of the show, at least Matt had all the crazy expressions and good-ole country boy ways to be extremely entertaining even though he was totally clueless.

Oh well...I'll be watching next week to find out. Plus..this is a parody reality show...so there could be nothing special about next week at all.

edited to fix my siggie.

"...the producer schmo show" heh heh heh I love it! On the spike tv website Brian (what is it? Keith something??? one of the writers anyway) descibed it as the "production staff collectivly sh*%ing bricks"

The thing I was wondering is why they let Cammy do the confession thing in the first place? Ingrid has seen through pretty much everything. I would have thought they would have said "oh yeah Cammy's supposed to confess to Ingrid. Wait! No! abort abort! ex-nay on the confession-ay!"

But that's just me.

That's why I think that whole thing was a set-up. Cammy went to Ingrid. I'm assuming this was rehearsed, so I would think the camera guy would have known and and made sure his battery was okay prior to the scene. If this was an accident, what an awesome mistake because the whole thing was so Trumanesque! And anyway it was obvious Ingrid figured it out after the first pearl necklace eviction ceremony but they didn't show it all until episode 3. So I think they wanted to make it as outrageous as possible. I mean they didn't just pick Ingrid for her massive mammories. They knew she was very educated and skeptical. And they are throwing things at her on purpose. That was what the producers wanted because it makes great television! (I do think that they underestimated her just a tad bit though!) Now we get to see someone figure it out for themselves and yet at the same time still have a show because of Tim.

"You know, that might be the answer - to act boastfully about something we ought to be ashamed of. That's a trick that never seems to fail." -Lieutenant Colonel Korn

I recognize that there is a possibility that Cammi and the camera man (or was he the cammi man?) staged the goof. Or possibilly, Cammi (can't rememer her name) is a evil genius/sociopath whom regrets the attention that Ingrid was getting and decided to sabotage her part in the show. But I doubt it. I think it was just the Dilbert Principle in effect (most people are idiots).

3. "RE: Q: When is a cliff hanger not a cliff hanger?"
I think it would be funny if they accused her of being an actor. Granted that would involve changing the script which it appears they adamently do not want to do, I still think it would be a very humorous twist. I would love to see her reaction if someone accused her.

When Ralph (as a sidenote, I'm so glad they brought him back. He is absolutely hilarious. I love Ralph so much. The whole thing with the bird, his facial expression when Cami started stripping, the accent, did I mention the hilarity about the bird?, everything, it's just perfect. Ralph owns.) announced that the girls would be the only ones present at the eviction ceremony I thought for sure they were going to spill the beans. I'm so mad they didn't give us an answer. Curse them! ><

Anyway, after I watched the show I was contemplating the "supposed" spoilers on that other site. It's interesting to note how very correct they were on a few things. In light of those accuracies, and one very obvious thing that we didn't see occur, I don't think she'll be gone... just yet, if at all. (I don't want to spoil anything for anyone and I'm not really sure how to go about preventing someone from accidentally stumbling on this, so I'm trying to be as ambiguous as possible) If you've read the spoilers and are curious as to what I'm referring to, consider what they said about the male contestants and what she says about one of them (not Ernie or Tim).

Name your source please...the spoiler site. That what we do here so it's not gonna bother us one bit to see what they have to say.

Thanks

I think it was posted in the Ingrid thread. But regardless someone posted the article on these forums (Article for next weeks episode). It has a lot of information from episode 3 in it, and was posted (exactly the same) on some other site (I got the link from one of the threads here).

Ingrid will still be in the show but after next week's episode the spotlight will shift and she won't be so prominent.

If they ever decide to do another Schmo show, I hope the network will at least spend a few more bucks for some more professional actors. They should have backed off of Ingrid when she was first "suspicious." Maybe even ignored her a bit. The producers really bit off more than they could chew on this one.
