"Comments on scenes from next week?"
The scenes made it look like he figured everything out, but obviously, since there are 8 more episodes, this didn't happen. What do you think they edited to make it look that way?

I'm guessing that they vote off the veteran, after manipulating Joe-Matt to vote for him. Veteran then gives a stirring speach. Matt, being a big puppy, gets very broken up and cries, a lot. Other cast memebers, being very empathic and totally focused on Matt then get broken up and cry a lot. Incident over in ten minutes, Matt says its just a game, and its edited to look like the end of the world in the previews.

As with the above, this is a pure guess.

I think the setup was Matt's vote for Molly. They used a fair amount of screen time detailing how sorry Matt was for causing her any stress, how he really didn't want her voted off, truly liked her, and by the way, if the whole boyfriend thing doesn't work out, think of him first, okay?

Add to that the fact that right now, of the surviving actors/player, Matt and Molly are the only ones who have votes.

I believe we're about to see a Survivor-style tiebreaker. Whatever happens in the next episode causes a few more people to vote for Molly, creating a two-way tie (or, given this show, we could conceivably get an eight-way tie -- no, wait, no one can vote for the Hutch: his Robe Of Ugliness +7 deflects all assassination attempts). Matt's prior vote for Molly then kicks in, breaking the tie, and Molly's plate goes the way of all gold-edged collectibles after the buyer finally spots the price guide. Matt then blames himself for poor, innocent Molly's premature departure. Cue misery, close-up on the tears, Matt considers quitting, and the production staff realizes they've actually stumbled onto The Last Sensitive Man In America and immediately tries to work out a deal with ABC to make him the next Bachelor.

Just a guess. Any resemblance to (heavily faked) reality would be a minor miracle.

I love this scenario, and your description of it. I think it's important to add that in your scenario Matt would not vote for Molly again, and would have voted for someone else, but his old vote, as you say, breaks the tie. If they didn't do it, they should have!

(wince) Right, I should have brought that up. (The sacred pinky swear, soon to supplant the Oath Of Allegience. 'Promise you're a citizen now? Hook your little finger on it?') Oh, well: if you can't make a bit of a fool of yourself in your initial post, the golden first opportunity will have passed you by. Or in other words, glad I got that out of the way early...

> If they didn't do it, they should have!

Well, as long as I'm out on the wild guess limb, let me start sawing: Molly's 'demise' is probably Ashleigh's doing. (The actress playing Ashleigh. The scriptwriters producing the motivation, lines, and dangerously flimsy backstory for the actress playing Ashleigh. You know what I mean, although I may not any more.) The producers set up her interest in the host and the host's interest in Molly, and they've asked her to turn the ##### dial up a notch. For the storyline, it makes sense for ##### Setting #2 to read 'start eliminating rivals, especially those for the hand of my Disney animatronic.'

Hmmm... come to think of it, they've got some groundwork to lay here. Eventually, Matt would have to learn that Ashleigh orchestrated Molly's ouster -- probably right around the time the ##### dial is at #5 ('make all heterosexual males in a one-show radius renounce their orientation'). So that means leaving subtle clues for Matt to pick up: slips in speech, quick glances and covert hand gestures --

-- wait. Just remembered Gina's Master Plan --

-- blindingly obvious signs of Ashleigh's plotting, up to and including her sleepwalking into Matt's room and lipsticking the details on the wall. At which point, Matt's desire for revenge hopefully manifests itself, and he leads the vote to get her out. If not, we flip to the 'everyone else was outraged' page in the Choose Your Own Reality Adventure book, and she gets voted out anyway. At a ridiculously wild guess, she'll be the sixth one out.

As before, any resemblance to (heavily faked) reality isn't the least bit likely.

Molly's demise is probably the only thing that would make Matt cry like that and/or they probably made him feel like it was his fault even though his was the only vote not for Molly (I'm guessing). The developers of this show are quite vicious. I'd love to see creators such as these on one of our shows....

Who let the DAWs out.

naaaa.... they spent too long setting up the love triangle to have Molly voted off in the next episode... also I thought that one of the things that Matt was saying through the tears was that "he's such a great guy...."

But, I do love the idea of Matt's vote triggering Molly's ouster. I bet they do that eventually.

I think they'll eliminate a guy next. They were already more men than women in the cast to start with and now that a woman has gone, they'll get rid of a guy before another woman goes.

8. "RE: Comments on scenes from next week?"
Without having read or seen any spoilers until tonight, I would have guessed Kip gets voted off in the next episode.
Why? I can't think of anyone more "beloved" in the house right now that would elicit such an outpouring of "grief." So based on pure emotions (although fake motions) I would guess Kip gets the axe.

I don't like the idea of Ashleigh or Molly going just yet. I want to see Ralph and Molly get caught in a compromising position where Matt catches them or something. That's what this is all about. They're going to throw stuff at Matt that is outrageous and basically dare him to question the show's sincerity.

Or how's this for a possibility: The person that gets voted off each week is the person that Matt voted for the previous week. It would really put a lot of pressure on him to use sound judgment in making his decision and it could be like a "clue" to the fact he is being tricked on the show. You see how long it takes before he finally says "hey, you know what, everybody I vote for gets knocked out the following week."

Or maybe it's the person he is allied with each week.
Just something to make the little directional spinner of life always point to him.

Fair point: they may want to keep things fairly close to balanced for a while, and I have to agree with Zume's point above as well. After taking the time to set up the Molly/Ashleigh/Animatronic bit, the producers probably won't shut it down that early.

Also -- to momentarily channel the spirits of Spike TV's operations board and targeted viewing audience alike -- 'The ratings are going to go down as soon as we're down to men in bikini briefs.'

"...men in bikini briefs" - you say that like it's a bad thing.

It's just not the sort of viewing treat the network in question was going for. Remember, this is Spike TV: The Fraternity's Best Friend.

(Spike TV: Boldly Going Wherever We Can Get Away With It?)
(Spike TV: Because The Playboy Channel Costs Extra?)
(Spike TV: We Promise Not To Tell Anyone You Watched?)
(Nevermind.)

Regardless, I think we need a professional opinion on this. Could someone please find out what Carson thinks?

Dunno there. Although personally, if I look at the Hutch, all I can see is the nether region of an equine.

It was a little disturbing to see Matt wearing the little panties he wore and also seeing buddy in that bunny outfit. It was enough to make me consider changing my sexual orientation!

I love all the scenarios presented, especially Matt's past vote for Molly breaking a tie. But I also think they will allow the love triangle to develope for another week or three before
booting Ashleigh or Molly, and I agree that they're going to want to boot a guy next. The veteran is the most likely, imo, just because Kip adds more of a dynamic to the show with Matt being his big brother and Hutch being his enemy. plus i think someone said somewhere that he lasts a while?

So I think the vet goes next, followed by hutch after he finally loses immunity, and then molly when ashleigh takes her revenge (or she could possibly go down before huch despite his losing immunity with a hutch/ashleigh alliance)...
