After the usual Opening Festivities, we take a commercial break:

Phil reminds us that Stockholm is the home of dynamite, the Nobel Prize, and ABBA. We get to say good-bye to BÖGS GARD farm, home to the first Switchback and the Pit Stop for the previous leg.
Flight Time & Big Easy get a chance to research Turks & Caicos Islands, the Travelocity® provided destination they picked up for being team number one. They depart at 2:23AM, and head for the ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. They need to find Mustpeade, home to the Brotherhood of the Black Head.
In a confessional, they trash talk the brothers. Could this be a wee bit of foreboding?
The Trotters get to the ferry terminal and discover (via the magic speaker box) that the one and only boat for the day doesn’t depart until 17:45 -- “like a long time from now” (5:45PM for American clock watchers).
Meghan and Cheyne leave the mat at 04:12 and use the daring cut-off the taxi tactic to get directions to the ferry terminal.
Brian and Ericka head out at 04:37 -- their plan is to lasso taxis.
Sam & Dan, aka The Brothers Grim, are off at 05:04.
Meghan and Cheyne arrive at the ferry terminal only to find the ‘Trotters in their Mercedes and deep in the Arms of Morpheus. They get the 17:45 word, and soon everyone knows about the
Phil’s last duty in Stockholm is to bid farewell to Matt & Gary, still alive but facing a Speed Bump, as they run out at 06:29 (OK, I’ll go back to normal American time telling…) Before they go, we get to see and hear Papa Gary give Matt some loving (is that a foreboding clue??). We also get a flashback to Sam & Dan’s brotherly love fest at the hay bales.
Teams depart aboard the TALLINK for the 16 hour, 236 mile voyage across the Baltic. The good news, each team gets a cozy little cabin where they can pass the time.
Gary preps for battle by dawning his Black Head Band. He’s taking no prisoners.
EPBvM treats us with some artsy cinematography, the sun setting, the moon crossing the firmament, and a sunrise all in a few seconds.
Teams are jostling for position at the gate, and the Estonian Taxi Dash is on. No elbows are thrown (at least, none that we see…) The ubiquitous “We’re in a race!” rallying cry is used by every team, obviously encouraging their respective cabbies to giving 120%.
Ericka follows TAR tradition, and tells her non-Spanish speaking taxi driver “gracias”. The Globe Trotters, equally versed in all matters International, tell their cabbie to head for “Must peed” (or maybe they just had to ‘share’?).
With the slim Tallinnian traffic, teams make it to the Mustpeade site in no time. Meghan tries to open Gary & Matt’s Speed Bump box, but is quickly set straight.
Sam & Dan, Brian & Ericka find the right key, are rewarded with a car alarm as the door swivels open. Gary & Matt arrive seconds too late.
As the teams enter the building, Phil phils us in on the Brotherhood of the Black Heads -- a secret (which is why they’re on an eight-time Emmy Winning show) society of merchants, going back over 600 years. Right now, they’re busy with a bit of sword fighting and grog slogging.
Mr.Handy-Hands makes an appearance and we have a
“Uncover a Mystery”. The task is simple - descend into the cellar, pick up a candelabra, and use its dogtag to find a special room. Once there, you’ll get a blank scroll (ha ha, it only appears to be blank!). Just hold it up to the candle to expose the clue visible Invisible ink link
Sam and Cheyne take off, rushing past a flute girl auditioning for Estonia’s Got Talent.
Meanwhile, back in the outside world - Gary & Matt arrive at the door only to find their Speed Bump Box (Meghan’s fingerprints have been wiped off). They have to find the SAUNABUSS and endure a 5 minute sauna with some locals. Both are rather giddy at the aspect of a sauna, but then, they are from Minnesota.
Ericka heads for her secret room, as does Flight Time. The next EGT contestant, a lute player in a hair shirt, nods his encouragement. The rest of the Black Head boys continue to party (alcohol and swords -- a fine combination in any setting!)
Back at the SAUNABUSS, Matt tells us of his Finnish grandmother, and the family tradition of ‘saounas’
Flight Time has found his room, and immediately thinks the clue can be found by using a wax batik method. He flashes back to his kindergarten days.
Cheyne gets his scroll, and quickly starts looking at it above the candle - “blind squirrel” indeed.
Matt marvels at his fortune at being seated next to a buxom blonde, wearing nothing but some rather loose terrycloth.
Ericka starts working on her scroll, while Flight drops his in disgust, “I don’t see anything!” (but we sure do).
Sam continues his scroll quest.
Cheyne is the first to reveal the clue -- “PIKK HERMAN TOWER GARDEN”. Sam and Ericka follow in short fashion and all three teams rush out.
-- oh, sorry, wrong Herman --
Gary is giving us his next round of karaoke-free karaoke singing as their egg timer dings. The five-minutes are up and they are free to head back to the Makepeade door.
The Secret Society brothers are still enjoying their fête as Matt comes in. He reads the clue and is instantly befuddled -- “Candle ah bra?”
Other teams reach the Tower. Sam and Flight finally figure out there clues and hit the road. Matt asks the taking-five lute player “are you a candle ah bra?” He smirks the smirk of the knowing.
Commercial Break! <Travelocity> <Bud Light> <Star Trek video> <Sears> <Michellin> <CBS The GoodWife> <CBS Cares - flashdance from the ‘70s>
Matt continues to wander, finally trying “it sounds like ‘candle’” and lo! Success! The partyers raise their mugs in honor of Matt’s sudden vocabulary growth.
Meanwhile, at the Tower Garden, Brian, Ericka, Meghan and Cheyne hit the clue box together. It’s a
“Serve or Sling”
Serve - play a quickie round of volleyball with a local team, just score five points. But the court is mired in one of Estonia’s many bogs.
Sling - use a slingshot and little veggies to hit a moose crossing sign (does Sara Palin know about this?), releasing a load of cabbage with the clue.
On the way to the TARSI TALU sight of the Detour, Meghan reads an ominous sidenote “you may choose to do either task in your underwear.” In another cab, Ericka instantly nixes that plan by revealing that she’s wearing butt-floss undies. Cheyne hopes that the teams are nudists. The ‘Trotters and brothers continue their trash talk (cue more foreshadowing music).
Meanwhile, back at the Black Head, Meghan ‘helps’ Sam & Dan by jumping their taxi after offering “he’ll call one for you”, but then turning evil by telling their driver “don’t call”. Sam begs a blurred cab rider to let them take it, but is politely rebuffed. Scrambling, Sam, Dan, Flight Time and Big Easy rush for another cab - bicker for a few minutes but end up sharing.
Matt finally solves 75% of the clue, and they head off (in last place) for the tower (Garden? What garden?)
Meghan and Cheyne are first at the Detour and pick Serve. They dive into to mire and score some quick points. Meanwhile, over at the PIKK TOWER, Matt and Gary are running hither and tither in a vane search for the cluebox just a few meters away. Too bad there’s no HII for them…

Back to the Tower and -- whoop! Gary spots the clue box!
One taxi driver doesn’t appear to care to much about “We’re in a race!”, who then calls his mate with a message “go slow”. Fortunately, Brian and Ericka’s driver is driven to compete and reaches the Detour site in plenty of time.
Meghan and Cheyne’s JOOLA scoreboard reaches the magic 5 and they head for the Pit Stop.
Brian, Ericka, the Brothers and the ‘Trotters head for the volleyball court -- well, sort of -- because we’re getting yet another Switchback -- teams can’t find the “clearly” marked trail!
The grandmotherly Native Greeter welcomes them to Estonia, and Phil gives them the “bad” news -- they missed the SAUNABUSS Speed Pump. But the “good” news -- they’ve won a red cedar sauna of their own! (And Cheyne has no clue -- guess he’s never been in Minnesota!)
More hunting for the trail, and Gary tells Matt it’s time to “pony up”. Such sage advice -- must really mean something.
The teams finally find the marked path and race for the volleyball courts. Sam and Dan are impressed by the “hottie Estonian guys” (more on that --> here
The Globetrotters resort to more intimidation talk (where are the Washington Generals when you need them?)
Ericka and Brian, the third team to reach the detour, have to settle for Sling and trudge over to the range (adding bog-shoes to their toggery.)
With their JOOLA still stuck at 0, Sam and Dan resort to yelling. Big Easy sinks up to his waist. Time to pay some more bills.

The ‘Trotters and Brothers start scoring -- Brian and Ericka just miss (nice pointy gnome hat on the slingshot guard).
Big Easy scores number 5 and they head for the Pit Stop -- well, sort of.
Sam and Dan also reach JOOLA 5 and make the right turn. There’s a race, a slip, a collision and plenty of testosterone flowing. Sam and Dan reach the mat just ahead of Meadowlark Lemon’s kin. Phil debriefs the skirmish, adding a little fuel to the fire.
The Pink-haired one & his Pops finally arrive at the detour, just as Cheyne hits the target. They reach Phil’s outpost and are relieved to learn they’re still in the race.
Gary and Matt go for the slingshot -- volleyball being unknown in Minnesota I guess -- and get to Phil just as the exit music cues up.

Next time, on The Amazing Race -- (knocks on Seana’s door)
In Prague, Flight Time dances and serenades his partner; Sam and Dan steal a taxi while Ericka dangles on a zip line (a detour card in her hand…)
Seana’s da bomb!
