"RE: The Amazingly Incompetent Race" LAST EDITED ON 11-05-09 AT 06:07 PM (EST) I don't know if the rule for skipping a Detour has changed since Season 1, but the last team who skipped a Detour entirely incurred a 24-hour penalty AFAIK. Even if it's non-elim, good luck catching the Banana Slugs from that far behind. EDIT: The interview said they would get a 24-hour penalty. So they were screwed either way.
