"What's with the start times in Epi 8?" |
What's with the discrepancies in the start times of the contestants at the beginning of this week's episode? Here's the starting lineup:1st to leave: 9:27 Victor and Tammy 2nd to leave: 12:31 Jaime and Cara. But, in Episode 7, they arrived almost simultaneously with V&T. Here's from the CBS recrap: "The pair (Victor and Tammy) arrived at King Rama IX Park just ahead of former NFL cheerleaders Jaime & Cara, and both teams jumped into their taxi to the Pit Stop moments apart." Their start time for this episode is 2 hours 4 minutes after V&T's start--they should be just a minute behind. 3rd to leave: 1246 Michael and Mark. How can this be when their penalty was only one hour and at most they would be leaving at 10:27 after Victor and Tammy if V&T arrived right after M&M got the penalty? This start time is 3 hours 19 minutes after V&T--which (coincidently?) is almost what is left of their penalty that they'll be behind in the next episode. Looks like the editors messed up the starting times. Even though ultimately it didn't matter what time they all left because they were all on the same flight to Bangkok, was there something we didn't see that caused the time discrepancies? The recrap of Epi 8 doesn't address the start times at all--just mentions V&T's start time of 9:27 pm. They seem to be having some difficulties with timing this race. There was also a couple of episode where they obviously changed times (one where they arrived during afternoon but left the next day during the morning--more like an 18 hour pit stop).

That was mentioned las night on the ECST. More likely Tammy/Victor left at 12:27.... and they screwed up the times, either that or Cara/Jaime and Mark/Michael were more like 9:30ish....... didn't matter, but irritating.....
