gscott 33 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beauty Pageant Celebrity Judge" 08-20-03, 06:13 PM (EST) "the twist!!" So many of you might be wondering just what in the heck this twist was that I kept mentioning. well, kids, now's time to find out: When we were in Minneapolis, we went to the T'Wolves in the morning. We set up an appointment for 2:00 to meet a player and attempt the hoop medley task. Well we had about 2 hours to kill so we mulled over ideas on what to do...I didn't feel comfortable going to the Gov's office because I know how long it takes to set up and complete a task (with rides and interviews and stuff) and I thought we would never make it back in time. Turns out, the governor's task got done in record time, and wayne (our rasta friend) stayed around and drove us back to the T'Wolves. WOOPDIE DO BASIL, WAHT DOES IT ALL MEAN? well, it means that we ALREADY completed our 10th task BEFORE we did the hoop thing. Had we been successful with the hoop task, we would've forfeited the twister deal so we could've obtained a car. There was really no pressure on us. I felt confident we could get a ride to Sioux Falls from my uncle. Even if we got the car, Sioux Falls is as far as we could've gone. Rules prevent us from driving past a certain time, and we need to get 6 hours of sleep per nite. SO Mt. Greg, Thanks so much for the insight on BBD2--I was wondering what that twist was. If you could just a couple of questions that I've thought up during the series, it would be very much appreciated: --Did you get any souvenirs during the trip (autographs, still photos, etc. that were collected by the producers)? I noticed the Cake ladies wearing Ravens t-shirts and Doug with a Wolves shirt, but were those subject to the 12-hr rule? --If there were any things you'd change about BBD3, what would they be? (you have to agree with me that Wayne the Minnesota musician should make a BBD theme song and sing it before the show--sure beats the current BBD theme music ) New host? Different tasks? Other starting and ending points? etc. --When you weren't in a hurry, did the camerapeople ever ask you to wait for a while so they could set up a shot? "RE: the twist!!" wow - great questions...let's see... autographs were never obtained (or asked for for that matter) the shirts etc.. that you see us with are kept with the producers in the winnebago that follows us everywhere. So is our luggage from when we started the whole thing in South Beach. There were an absolute crapload of pictures taken along the way. I think they plan on putting everything on a CD and sending it out to us all....everything from the days when we were finalists to our red carpet walk at the ESPY's this year..I WANT THOSE PICTURES!!! BBD3 stuff - well, hard to say what I'd do different. I don't think elimination is a bad thing, but it's also not necessary. Maybe the replacement should be one of the people from the previous season...that'd be cool (I'd be an idiot not to go through it again) Summer was a good hostess - she's popular, attractive...she's got Rich Eisen beat. The tasks would have to be a bit more challenging, but there would also have to be more on the list to choose from. As far as start/finish points - well I thought we were going to go from South Beach to the Space Needle in Seattle...turns out, a week before the show started, the finish point was Anchorage, Alaska (we'd still be on the road) They ahd to change alaska for a variety of reasons - Canada was the main one...fricken Canada! As for camera people/producers slowing us down - oh my do they ever. All we want to do is stop for a candy bar at a gas station...30 minutes later...you get my drift. It's frustrating at times, but we all understood that they're just doing their job. When Doug was on camera saying that Mt. Rushmore was about a 10 hour drive from Minneapolis he was about right...unless of course you're travelling with a production crew. Ten goes to 14 real quick.
