The first girl was sensational, but I was highly bothered that this 16 year old GIRL, was performing a song written for a WOMAN. She came off as a big Lolita. I don't like that.I thought the three that were selected, Raymond, Justin and the curly-haired redhead were great choices. I personally though Justin the rapper, stole the show. I just hope he doesn't become another angry rapper. What is up with Debbie being so nasty to Carnie? The comment to her when the first girl performed was plain simply mean. "Don't hate" was her comment to Carnie, after Carnie expressed the same concern I mentioned at the beggining of this post. Debbie, is taking the comments personally and it's NOT right. And then that little tramp Christine Evangelista making nasty comments to the judges. So immature, she was mediocre at best, but of course she thought she was sensational. Puh-lease. Anyway, it was a good show. They are doing well in selecting the finalists.

Had no problems with who they seclected to move on, just thought the first girls' voice was really good and great on that song, her dance was very over the top for her age.The rapper, did you see his pants start to fall down, oh a good two or three times during the group dance number? I kept waiting for them to fall all the way around his ankles. LOL "Do you know, I always thought unicorns were fabulous monsters, too? I never saw one alive before!" I was LMAO when his pants were falling down. How embarrassing. I bet his buddies will be teasing him about his white undies being on national tv LOL I thought the 3 girls were all the same. Singing songs on a table/chair. Were they supposed to sing songs like that or was it just a coincidence? Can't remember which girl it was, think it was the 2nd one, but at one point she turned around and bent over with her butt sticking out in the audience's face. These girls are way too young to be singing songs and acting like that IMHO. Debbie Allen needs to hush up. When I first watched the show, I thought it was nice that she was so friendly and nice but now she is taking it too personally. I can't wait until the finals.

I was rolling on the floor when the rapper's pants kept falling down! Dude! Next time don't wear them quite that loose! I've got it on tape and replayed it this morning and laughed just as hard the second time.I was happy with the three choices selected to continue. I felt the first girl's performance was "too mature" for her age. And when she bent over and looked between her legs it made me think of a stripper's performance. I personally do not want to see a 16-year old perform like Gypsy Rose Lee. Who picks their songs/dance routines? Do the contestants choose? And if so, why all show tunes? I'm sick of hearing "All that Jazz" and Barbara Streisand tunes - how about something more contemporary? That's why the rapper was like a breath of fresh air - but please don't clutch your groin area any more. Last guy selected - his voice was okay - but his charisma carried him and I was glad to see him continue. I'm sure nerves can play havoc with the vocal cords and I hope his voice gets stronger. And Evangalista - she only proved her youth and inexperience by her snarky comment to judge #3, and then standing there pouting even before all the names were read. She knew she wasn't going to be selected, but she didn't have the class to stand tall and smile anyway. She's lucky to have gotten that far compared to the thousands that tried out. (Pssst - everyone's grandmother thinks they are pretty special!) Mmmm Topaz

I was very surprised that they didn't pick the first girl. I also thought that Raymond was off key. Maybe my ears are off but he wasn't interesting and I switched to the Stanley Cup Finals while he was singing. I think with the first girl being under 18 that she was too revealing in her number and that is why they didn't choose her. Plus the girls seem so much more talented than the boys, they may be trying to even things out a little. But they knew what the kids were singing and the first girl with such talent should have had a better song to match her great voice. She lost out on politics, not talent. Sounds like a Ruben/Clay decision to me.

I didn't like the first girl at all. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me... and way too sexy for her age. My hubby's comment was "making daddy proud, huh?". The curly haired redhead was MUCH better. I was very impressed by her and the rapper stole the show. I totally agree. Raymond is a great dancer, but he should have chosen a different song. Debbie is like an old mother hen with these kids... very protective. She should lighten up a little and take the judges comments as constructive criticism. I missed the last two people, so I can't compare everyone, but sounds like I didn't miss much. A Kyngsladye Original

I like that the judges seem to be trying real hard to give these kids some type of positive feedback. We get beat down, and in show business definitely, enough in life. Their comments my just be we see potential but at least it is some type of positive as well as the what ya did wrong type. The last girl was young, 16, so yes immaturity is a problem but she still did a good job and she showed she could act, which while was in that song was not what she was suppose to me doing so I think that cost her. I liked the red-head (forget her name) and also Raymond (the Asian guy) the best last night. Raymond to me sounds a lot like Ruben of AI, though he has a way to go to develop. He also has just such a wonderful smile that he makes you like him, and made me feel good just to watch.

This show has been a pleasant surprise. The contestants seem to have talent that blows away the American Idol group. I particularly like the opening number to each show....simply sensational. I disagree with the Judges, and my fellow posters on the selection of the three to go on: Yes to the Redhead, but the white rapper kid is just another crotch grabbing "wigger" kid who wants to be Black, and the Asian singer was not in tune, and he could not dance. I would have taken any of the three who did not go on over either of these two.

I'm still pretty unimpressed by "Fame". The "talent" hasn't blown me away and Monday's episode didn't really change my opinion. I didn't think anybody was very good. The girls that sang the songs from "Chicago" and "Cabaret" weren't very good, I'm sure they would be good as minor roles in Broadway plays, but I didn't think they were very good. The second guy (?), the Black guy, his dancing is GREAT. The dancing on the show HAS impressed me, but otherwise, everything i spretty subpar. But, besides his dancing, he really had nothing else. I think a lot of this, and I've said this before, is like "Kareoke Idol"
