http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=2446Article says that it will start June 8th. NBC has announced the second season of its Last Comic Standing series, which has already been plagued by allegations of dishonesty in the selection of the program's Top 10 finalists, will debut Tuesday, June 8 at 8PM ET/PT with a special two-hour premiere . Once again hosted and executive-produced by actor/comedian Jay Mohr, the second season of the series will be fourteen episodes in length and feature a nationwide talent search for professional and non-professional comedians (both male and female). Similar to last year's popular edition of the show, the selection process will be narrowed to ten finalists and then follow the comedians as they live together in a house and compete for the ultimate prize-an exclusive talent contract with NBC. RELATED LINKS Last Comic Standing Message Boards RealityTVWorld: Last Comic Standing SirLinksALot: Last Comic More Last Comic Standing News As we reported back in March, the program's ten finalists have already been determined via a February competition in Las Vegas. The event generated a significant amount of post-competition controversy, with Drew Carey and Brett Butler, two of the event's celebrity judges, taking to the airwaves and Internet and calling the selection process "crooked and dishonest" and noting that they "had NOTHING to do with" the selected finalists. In response, NBC released a statement noting that while the judges' opinion in the rounds leading to the semifinals are taken into account, the final decision is made by the show's producers and NBC executives -- a point that also appeared in the fine print of the show's first season rules, but a distinction that Carey insists "misled" the judges as to the "nature of their roles."

What it looks like is that the show is heavily produced and they decide the outcome no matter what. I thought everyone else was better than Dat Phan, but he wound up winning. After watching the rerun of the first season on Comedy Central, I have no doubt in my mind that he was the "chosen one".
