"Bring back Jay Mohr."
I think this is starting to turn into a fundamental law of the genre: 'No host change is ever an improvement.' (This would be a really scary thought when it came to Big Brother.) Bellamy has passed my point of no-return: when he shows up on screen, I change the channel and don't come back until he's gone. There's something about the way he runs the show -- especially in the 'we will reveal the safe people one at a time, and the funny none at a time' -- that's been annoying me since we entered the public vote rounds, and now he's Gone Too Far. I didn't even watch John Reep's routine last night: as soon as the announcement of Amy's ouster was made, g'bye.

I've switched from dreading the finale to making plans for actively avoiding the finale. Two hours of airtime, four minutes of content? No thank you. See you next season for the audition rounds, by which time we should have a new host -- and by the freshly-established law, this will be someone who'll have us demanding Bellamy back within a month.

I'm thinking Rebecca Korry.

You'd think Dat Phan would be available.

This season was a real disappointment. It was all stand up and all in the theater. I really enjoyed the interactions (good and bad) in the house with the contestants. I remember Dat Phan in the back yard charting his jokes, the game of hide and seek and other moments in the house. Making this an all stand up show had really hurt the way the audience sees the comics. Even watching Gabriel (I for got his last name, but his Comedy Central act was a hoot) being kicked off the Queen Mary brought us closer to the players. Bring back the old format!
