volsfan 19846 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 05-09-07, 09:14 PM (EST) "The Real World Episode 23 Discussion 05/09/2007" They get to go on vacation for all the hard work they performed doing absolutely nothing. It appears nothing changes as Colie gets drunk and has sex with Alex. NO...SAY IT AIN'T SO. *yawn* Well, I have been reading where some of you actually miss my summaries. Since I now have Tivo and can summarize any time...I will try and get a couple of "unofficial" summaries of the next couple of episodes. "RE: The Real World Episode 23 Discussion 05/09/2007" Seriously, would anyone be all that bored if Mtv or heck any other network decided to air a show in which young people act responsibly and morally? Would anyone be all that opposed to have a show in which people clearly have issues and learn to turn their lives around? I think if a network took it as a goodness assignment rather than just entertainment and learned to edit appropriately, a show like that could be interesting and beneficial to watch. I'm sick of the Real World and find it absolutely silly that such a name would be chosen for such a show. There's nothing "real" about it. A bunch of ding dongs get to shack up together in a kickin' house for 4 months, pay no bills, work the easiest job ever, go on an undeserved rockin' vacation, and have all the time in the world to go out and do whatever. Yes, that's what these people need....a reward for their deplorable behavior. The big problem with this season is the cast have no difficulty in recognizing the issues they have but seem to think admitting to them is the only step needed. Hardly anyone tried to actually do something about their issues. As for last night's episode.....well all I can say is Alex needs to stop paying so much attention to Colie's stupidity and drunken hook ups. In fact, Alex should have kept his mouth shut since he got himself in the whole Colie mess due to alcohol (not really one to talk). Colie needs to learn that a good time doesn't mean being fall over drunk, belligerent and embarrassing herself on national t.v. by slobbering over some stranger. Brooke really didn't bother me this episode and for once she actually had something to cry about so I'll give her that. Stephan needs to stop talking about how he's a Christian and start behaving like one. Sure no Christian is perfect but all I see coming from Stephan is a bunch of self-righteous uppity behavior with no action to back it up. Why is Alex worrying about what she says and does, does anyone think he may like her? Brooke does worry about everything but at least she is trying and doing more. Did you notice her puking on the boat and Davis rubbing her back. Remember, both parenting AND public school education is now based on the concept that we must always feel good about ourselves all the time. Don't scold, punish, or embarass because that might - Heaven forbid - hurt someone's feelings or damage their self esteem. The result is that too many people these days have been brought up with the idea that everything is ok as long as it makes you feel good. Face it, the country is going to Hell in a hand basket.
