After a week of celebrating the fourth of July, MTV brings back The Real World right where they left off. Slutty is singing the same song with a different verse. It’s the “I am better than everyone, my roomies are low life, no one in the house likes me, and they make me feel like an idiot” Slutty song. Can everyone sing the chorus in harmony? Before I get into the summary, let me say that this episode can be explained in four simple bullet points:
*John had a one-night stand.
*Slutty and Martin argued with Slutty lying around moping all the time.
*They went on vacation.
*Run Martin…Run!
Seriously, other than the things I bring out in the summary this was a fairly slow and boring episode. Here is what I have this week.
Skinny update: Skinny appears to be fully fed this week as she is looking fine and getting along with everyone very well.
The roomies are heading for vacation and they all rush home to find out the location. The travel agent arrives with backpacks for each of them. They are going to Spain! Everyone is happy except Slutty. Slutty doesn’t want to go anywhere with the trailer trash she now shares a home.
Yo Wench: Get the fvck over yourself and enjoy the trip of a lifetime. This isn’t about your hurt feelings…put those a side for a few days UMKAY?
The roomies arrive in Madrid and decide to put Skinny and Slutty in a room far away from them. Everyone goes sightseeing and John can’t believe the city has electricity and automobiles. I have no idea what he thought he would find in Spain but he is definitely surprised at how modern things are.
Redneck hick: You are not on a farm in Timbucktoo! The city is very modern and I hope you take this opportunity to learn how others live in a city with cars and paved streets.
The next scene sets the tone for the rest of the episode. Slutty is arguing with Martin over the phone. They appear to be arguing about Martin’s ability (or lack there of) to share his feelings with Slutty. Martin finally asks, “are we finished?” (meaning the conversation)) and Slutty responds, “are you busy?”
To the child better known as Slutty: Honey, Martin would share his feelings with you if you would ever give him the chance. You have to continually talk about the failures/short-comings of others…look in the mirror often?
Run Martin…Run!
I finally blogged
