Well, the sad stuff continues as Danny goes home to bury his mother. Will he return? Will we find out tonight? Bring it on.

Well, Danny seems to have gotten through his ordeal fairly well. I'm still worried that he feels so guilty about everything.Back in Austin, Mel seems to be behaving, which actually surprises me. But, I sense that if Danny doesn't come back after the funeral, Mel will be in desperate need to find someone to latch on to. She seems to need (and obviously crave) the attention of a boyfriend (or whatever Danny is to her at this point). Maybe she'll just make a career choice decision and go into the porn industry. The weirdo hairdresser (she is so unimportant to the cast I have forgotten her name) gets a visit from her boyfriend. He seems nice, though unfortunately in a wheelchair. Maybe he is too down to earth for her. Who knows? I'm betting Danny eventually comes back, Nehamiah eventually patches things up with his mother (who is in rehab for the umpteenth time), and the Iraq War vet will continue to search desperately for someone to sleep with while she still gushes on about her boyfriend at home. Gosh, I need a beer.......

Maybe he >is too down to earth >for her. Who knows? > >As a wheelchair user for over 14 years, I was disapointed to read what you wrote about Lacy's BF. It was clear that you found him to be cool, but I find it very sad that the first thing you mentioned about him is that it is unfortunate that he's in a wheelchair. Being a wheelchair user isn't as negative as many people think and I think MTV did a great job of spinning a positive light on a peron living w/ a physical disability. Many of us with Spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities don't feel that our situations are" unfortunate." Would you of said the same thing if he was asian or of another race? Would that be unfortunate too? We've come a long was in this country with equal rights, but we still have SO much further to go! I applaud Lacy for being able to look past her bf's disability and seeing him for who he is-a person first!. Life isn't always gloom and doom when you are disabled!

It was clear that you found him to be cool, but I find it very sad that the first thing you mentioned about him is that it is unfortunate that he's in a wheelchair. I'm with Dave, I too think its unfortunate he's in a wheelchair. Who wouldnt? It's a 'disability' that I consider myself fortunate to NOT have! Being a wheelchair user isn't as negative as many people think and I think MTV did a great job of spinning a positive light on a peron living w/ a physical disability. I have to say here that .... it is VERY unfortunate that there are a TON of things people dependent on wheelchairs cannot do! One of my best friends, (who has the most positive attitude about her situation) cannot do 1% of the things a non wheelchair confined person can do! I'm reminded of some of those things every time I visit. I dont understand how you can tell Dave That its NOT unfortunate? >Many of us with Spinal cord >injuries and other physical disabilities >don't feel that our situations >are" unfortunate." Would you of >said the same thing if >he was asian or of >another race? Would that be >unfortunate too? You are comparing someone with a disability, with someone of another race? Life isn't >always gloom and doom when >you are disabled! nobody here said it was.... Dave just said it was unfortunate, and I would tend to agree. Just so you know, .... I do understand the point you are trying to make. But if you try to talk anyone into thinking its not 'unfortunate' that someone has a physical disability... ....... ummmm.....

I am not quite sure what to make of this overly sensitive, politically correct stuff. How on earth is it "sad" that I find it "unfortunate" that Lacy's boyfriend is in a wheelchair? Would it have been better if I said it was fortunate he was in a wheelchair? I wasn't saying he was a lesser person due to this, I was merely saying that I was bummed that he had had an unfortunate accident.

I agree with Dave and batts on this one...I think it is very unfortunate for anyone to have any type of disability. I also have to say that it is wonderful that people such as Lacy's friend can cope so well with the circumstances that have been dealt them.

I was wondering when the 'wheelchair guy' was gonna be in an episode. Did you see.... I think Wes wanted to give him a lap dance too! I was gonna say somethin .... but I decided to be nice.

I think that it was tastefully done in last nights episode they showed some of the burial site but not so much that it invaded on their families privacy. Like someone said before, this is unfortuantly a part of real life and we need not have to sugar coat things - because bad things happen all the time to good people, it's how you choose to handle that makes a difference. I don't blame him one bit if he decides to take some time off to mourn with his family but IMO he needs to go back after that time or else he'll forever regret it.

I do agree with volsfan and dave. the episode showing danny in his grief is part of his reality. does anyone notice the message which flashed on the right corner of the screen? mtv posted something about coping with loss of a loved one. i think it said for people to go to mtv.com and they will be directed to the website. did anyone see it or was it just my mind playing tricks on me?

Is it just me or does it seem like Melinda only cares about Danny being there with her? It doesn't seem like she understands what he is going through right now and how hard it is for him to make the decision to stay or go back to Austin. She needs to stop and realize that this isn't about poor little her, it's about something much bigger and important. And Lacy irks me...how in the heck did she get to be a cast member??????
