PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"GEISHA HOUSE" |
I am currently reading "Women of the Pleasure Quarters" by Lesley Downer which talks about ancient Japan and the tea houses and Geisha.Read it them compare it to modern day America. The similarities are a bit scary, and it could be one way to destroy a country. It was an expected common practice for a successful Japanese man to have an arranged marriage, and marrying for love was frowned upon and highly discouraged. This man would then take on a lover - Geisha - to serve his erotic needs. His wife would provide him with children and taking care of the home only (basicaly room mates). Acquiring a Geisha was a sign of status and success and was most certainly expected. The wife would just agree to the "arrangement." He would "keep" the Geisha with lots and lots of money, keep her in expensive clothes and an apartment of her own, and be at his beck and call. I wonder how many NBC executives have incorporated this lifestyle into their lives. Hollywood oozes this attitude. I would never trust these people with a dating game, they are too fickle and messed up in the head.

I think I will probably read that one too eventually. I needed a break from that mind set. They were so cruel to each other, and if the "barbarians" didn't invade their country, as they so put it, I think they would have self destructed themselves. Do you see the same correlations as I do with life as we now know it?
