If Phillip wins, it's complaints about frau dominance, open wondering why anyone other than their chosen type should even apply, and more of what talent still remains to the found heading for the other shows. Should Jessica take it, people will be screaming about scripting, predetermined results, and the millions of show-illegal votes that came in from the Philippines, plus why should you apply when the next season may not be rigged in your favor? No matter what happens, between the end result (whatever it may be), extra shenanigans, and the total lack of actual judging this season, the last remaining shreds of credibility are about to go. Not that the bulk of the audience cares about credibility. Nor does FOX. But if the ratings continue to slip... ...well, we've had enough rumors that the panel may be on the chopping block.
