"Rehashing the Reunion - General Comments"
Heather looked VERY disappointed when her key didn't turn the mole lock door.

Dorothy looked adorable with the new haircut and a little lipstick! (like my mother always said....)

Bill reminds me of the older version of Mad Magazine's "what me worry" kid.

Bribs is a doll.

Heather was graceful and sportsmanklike about her "loss." (does anyone know if second place gets any money?)

Al is hysterical.

Katie looked faboo! Love the shorter hair and the makeup.

Anderson was....well...Anderson...In fact during commercials I switched over to CNN to watch him be amusing over there. He was giving a little soliloquy on the fact that all the news anchors take the month of August off, so people like him can have their big chance to sub. What a cutie.

Loved the idea of the reunion and all the videos shown.

Most dissapointed by Rob's hair colour. Style was still the same, but it lacked the blonde flair.

I was going through my Mole Notes (yes, I am that pathetic). I realized that I hadn't written bill down on day one and never did get around to it. I didn't notice that until last week when I went to edit my notes.

Anderson was too "host-ish" in this one. Not as many quippy remarks, not being as Anderson as he usually is. Kinda sad.

Really felt with some of the clues, especially the two in the opening sequences, that ABC was smaking me in the face.

It was nice to see everyone back together.

Hoping for a Mole 3...
Jaee

A few comments I have not seen posted yet...

Bill looked so relaxed and happy last night! What a relief off his shoulders; he was actually beaming! I'm glad we all got a chance to see a more natural Bill than the Mole character he had to be.

Of course, the same can be said for Dorothy, whose personality also shone bright last night! Loved that her strategy of suspicion/lack of emotion tripped most of us up!

I believe ABC really goofed when they only gave us a 1-hr finale. Definitely not enough time to give all of us Molerons at chance to really look back at other clues, like Lady Luna mentioned: the chalk on the road, the message left on the car door, the mole will break you, etc. There was simply not enough time devoted to these things.

Also, I agree we wanted to see more of the cast instead of a highlighted few. This show deserves a 2-hour finale. It is, afterall, summer rerun season! How hard would it be for ABC to kick a retread episode of some inane sitcom for an extended hour of The Mole?

Regards,

2. "RE: Rehashing the Reunion - General Comments"
Dorothy and Elavia looked Maaaaaaaaaarvelous! Katie looked really good too. Al actually looked pretty sharp in his suit. I like brunette Rob too (blonde Rob is fun, but hey, you gotta have change, right?). Bribs and Darwin looked fine as always. Was it just me or was Heather wearing a tad too much makeup?

Love my AC in his suit and little red tie

Was surprized by how many players had know idea that Bill was the mole. There is obviously a big discrepancy between editing and what actually happens. (I still think that Bill seemed so obvious to us though because of technical clues that the players wouldn't have seen). Loved seeing the montage of clips of players dismissing Bill as a suspect.

Surprized that the Heather/Katie coallition really WAS that strong. I kind of thought that Heather was just leading Katie on.

Surprized that Dorothy wasn't tuned into Bill until Heather. More surprized that she would have been executed if Elavia didn't take the bribe. Does this mean that, because Dorothy had a coallition with Elavia, Elavia was as clueless as Dorothy apparently was at that point? I always assumed that Elavia would have won or at least gotten very far in the game if she did not take the bribe.

Surprized that Heather and Dorothy really did knock Bribs and Al out of the game. I can't believe Bribs fell for the whole "what if I tell you I'm the mole" thing.

I can't believe Darwin really was that clueless. Ahhhhh! Had me fooled. Loved AC's comment about Darwin not noticing that all of his coallition partners were exectuted except for Bill. Ha ha.

Loved Bill's face when Dorothy got the combination to the lock in the shed. All that distraction for nothing!

All in all, a fun night. Even though it came out as I (and most of us on this board) predicted, it was still a great ride. I actually like Bill a whole lot more after this show.

I am in complete Mole withdrawl already though There had better be a Mole 3 (I guess I will have TAR3 in the fall to tide me over until then...and, you know, obsessing over AC on CNN).

What I want to know is what this supposed great twist was.

And I think that we should linch Kathryn and whoever else comes up with the clues. The apple and the pisces and the pictures of ships and a couple of the other clues were good, but most of the clues, especially the ones that explicitly say that Bill is the mole, were really poorly done.

I foolishly ignored the blatant clues thinking that the mole could be figured out by watching people's actions, because if not for the clues, I would have never even suspected Bill, and I'd be waiting right now for a public service announcement saying that it was all a joke and Heather is the mole.

But enough with my rant, it was a good end to the season, but I would have liked to have heard a little more from the executed players.

I think the "twist" refers to the final three having to "twist" the door knobs to open the doors that they were behind.

I think 2 things at least could be conisidered twists...

1. Dorothy would have been executed if Elavia had not taken the mole - yet, El did, and Dot ended up winning.

2. More likely - Heather knew pretty early on who the mole is, and when she formed a coalition with Dot, she basically handed Dot the win.

"pretty early on"? Let's consider the evidence:

Through E7: Heather and Katie think Elavia is the mole. Then she leaves.
E8: Heather and Katie think Dorothy is the mole. They tie for last, and Katie exits by 11 seconds...
E9: Realizing Dorothy isn't the mole, Heather decides Bill is the mole. It's the 9th of 12 episodes, and the first player has finally figured out that Bill is the mole.

That's being a subtle mole. Probably that's why they gave us TV viewers such blatant clues about Bill.

29. "Sabotage"
I still don't believe that people thought Dorothy was the mole because she was too smart at winning games! Uh, isn't that ANTI-sabotage?

It was also interesting to note that, when Bill engaged in blatant sabotage, people thought he was just trying to draw suspicion to himself.

Didn't any of these people ever think that the producers might be looking for a mole who was very different than Kathryn? Apparently not.

Heather really did look sad, I actually felt bad for her, and I never expected that! (Maybe that was the twist! Heather's not so bad after all!)

I was Soooooooooo happy for Dorothy, I was really rooting for her. I love that her win was the perfect combination of intelligence, skill, and dumb luck. she looked fabulous, too. Loved seeing her real personality, and loved hearing that she was really very sad when she didnt get to see her mom that time, though she covered it well.

Bill looked just pleased as punch to have fooled so many. He also looked happy to see that Dorothy was the winner.

Loved Al's reaction to the clip of him saying how everyone at home is screaming, "It's BIll!"

Was very surprised to see how very clueless Darwin was, after all. I'd had him pegged as the eventual winner early on, but I guess I was WAY off. I also thought it was hilarious that he made Bill's job so much easier by convincing so many others that the mole couldn't be Bill.

Elavia looked FANTASTIC! I would have liked to hear more from her.b How interesting that Dorothy would have been executed had Elavia not taken the bribe.

Katie's a hoot. I like that girl.

Bribs is a cutie. He had such a good sense of humor about trhat fact that Darwin completely steered him off of Bill.

Liked Rob better as a blonde, and wish we had heard more from him, Myra, Ali and Lisa!

Don't care one way or the other about Bob, because I mean, we hardly got to know the guy.

I wish we could have heard more about what was sabotage and what was honest mistakes among the other players. I'm interested in knowing more about how the whole thing worked. But I was VERY happy with the end results. I also would have liked to see Al apologize publicly to Katie, because I thought he was really mean to her, though it was kinda funny. (I know he apologized to her privately.)

I wonder how Dorothy will spend the money? She really seemed to feel badly for Heather.

I loved it when they pulled out Al's confessional where he said that he suspected Elavia but a little voice was saying you're wrong, it's Bill. That cracked me up when it happened, and it was funny watching everyone react to it during the reunion.

7. "RE: Rehashing the Reunion - General Comments"
Really liked the reunion show, although I was disappointed that Bill was the Mole.

Like evanaka, I ignord those blatant clues because I thought they were way too obvious and really planted to drive the "technical" people nuts. I'm really a little annoyed by those clues because they did require techology to see, and that leaves out a good part of the viewing audience. My VCR is too old to freeze frame properly (and all I get is static) and some of my friends only have DVD players which don't record.

Gave Darwin credit for much more smarts than he really has, and thought the tip-off that Dorothy would have been eliminated had Elavia not taken the bribe a great surprise.

Thought Bill was a great Mole, and a classy guy for adding more money to Dorothy's pot. I liked Bill even as a player though, because I liked his sense of humor at some of the moves of the others throughout the game - like his big grin when Dorothy hesitated about throwing her money into the pot in the High Card Game.

Think Kathryn Price should go back to practicing law, and I hope she's better at that than at producing slues. Dump Mensa - they're not so smart.

And P.S. - Didn't everybody look great?

I am so glad that the gang at TARsucks recommended coming over here for the summer. I have really enjoyed Mole2...can't believe that I almost missed it.

The big shocker twist was awesome. How different would the game have been if Elavia had not taken the bribe? Wonder if the producers just wanted to shake things up because EVERYONE was voting for Elavia or if they had 'the bribe' planned all along. Fortune smiled on Dorothy that day!

Everyone looked good. Exercise suits Katie and Darwin and Bribs as always were divine. Even Al cleaned up pretty good.

Have to say I was really glad Heather was not the mole after all the crying a stuff...if it had been an act I would have been annoyed.

Way to go Dorothy and good job Bill! Like you both even more after seeing you on the reunion show.

If I don't talk to you guys for a while...have a great summer and see you at TARsucks.

Wow. I just keep wonder how it would have been a different show if a) Elavia wouldn't have taken the bribe and Dorothy would have been executed and b) if Heather would have been slower than Katie. Just image how different it would have been.

Those were my two big shockers. I didn't realize Katie and Heather's coalition was really that strong. Heather really lucked out having Katie be slower than her.

Anyway, I was also shocked (like a lot of you) how Darwin disregarded Bill as the Mole right away. It completely shocked me. He really was using his coalitions to further himself cause he made it pretty far. i just thought Darwin seemed a little smarter than that.

Everyone looked great. Rob looks better as a blonde but the brown was nice. I would have liked to hear more from Katie, Myra and Lisa. Lisa was pretty strong during the first three episodes and Katie was a hoot, i wanted to hear more from them.

I am tickled pink that Dorothy won! That was so great! I loved it. She looked so good. Overall, Heather impressed me because she turned out to be smarter than I thought she was.

i really hope for a Mole 3.

Everyone looked REALLY good last night. Katie definetly lost weight, and everyone wasnt tired and stinky like we saw them in the shows. Heather and Dorothy looked quite pretty with their makeup and new looks. I thought everyone looked really cleaned up and classy.

It's interesting that the Heather-Katie coallition really WAS a coallition. Heather had said at some point that the word coallition was a little strong. But it's really thanks to Katie that Heather made it as far as she did in the game, because she knew Dorothy WASN'T the Mole.

My favorite moments last night were Al's reaction to his "It's Bill!" comment, the look on Dorothy's face when her key fit the door, and the reaction from the players when Bill was revealed as the Mole. It was also quite funny to see Darwin's face after Anderson announced that he had created a montage of Darwin's coallitions... and how he didn't seem to notice when all of them left except Bill!

All in all, a great season of the Mole, and a great finale. Pleeeeeeeeeese Mole III!!!

I was disappointed that, now that this season they have given us the courtesy of seeing the quiz questions -- both on the screen and on the website (a big improvement over last season) -- they did not show us the answers at the end. (Maybe to the final quiz on the show -- or to all the quizzes). On the show they could put up the question -- like where was the mole sitting when .. and then show a clip on the screen. It would also be interesting to know how many questions each of the finalists got right on the final quiz and which ones.

Otherwise, I liked the finale.

Most funny moment is when Al clenched his fists in a momentary flash of rage when AC mentioned how H and D managed to manipulate him. I thought he was going to punch H right there.

Darwin was the best mole in the game. He managed to knock off 3 players by himself. Talk about a good judge of character LOL. He is the reason why Bill managed to stay under the radar for so long despite rather obvious sabotages. People have mentioned that Bill cannot be the mole because executed players must suspect him, last night we found out why that logic was wrong, because of Darwin.

Go Dorothy! Feel a little bad for H though. She should have had more confidence in herself. In M2 we found out that coalitions aren’t always the best thing.

20. "Who knocked out who?"
Hey. I thought this might be an interesting idea to end the show on - Who knocked out who? Of the executed player (11, not counting Heather), who knocked out who? Some people could have two people considering how you look at the situation. Let me know what you guys think.

Here's is what I gathered:

(Player - who contributed to their execution)

Bob - Elavia, Darwin
Ali - Dorothy
Lisa - Elavia (?), Darwin
Patrick - Dorothy
Rob - Elavia
Myra - Dorothy
Elavia - N/A
Katie - Dorothy
Darwin - ??? (Who did he vote for when he was eliminated? Do we know this? I think it was either Dorothy or Heather. He wasn't voting for Al or Bill.)
Bribs - Dorothy, Heather, Darwin
Al - Dorothy, Heather

Tally:
Dorothy - 6
Darwin - 3 (all from coalitions)
Elavia - 3
Heather - 2

I would assume he went for Heather, because he said he thought the mole was Dorothy when Anderson asked him last night.

Myra mentioned that she went for one person the whole time, and was NOT mentioned as one of the people knocked off by Dorothy. My guess is that she was gunning for Bribs.

It was a GREAT finale. I was rooting for Dorothy to win, no matter who was the Mole. I had picked Bill (at another site) as the Mole, but then began to see reasons to support Heather as mole. I never thought Dorothy was the Mole, ever since she did so well in the Smart Game ("mistrustfulness!")

Bribs looked really good. Tasty, even.

I'm glad we didn't hear more from Katie. Ugh, it was more than enough while she was on the show.

I agree that it would be nice to see what people put down as answers to the various quizzes.

It is also interesting to note that players were really confused about who was the Mole right up to the end. Although most people on the boards were voting Bill as Mole, there was support for the other two right down to the wire.

A great show, yes it was. To my mind, the best Finale show I've seen yet for any show.

I'm hoping next year they give us a longer finale. The show deserves a "special" like Survivor. I would have liked to have heard more from the early contestants.

Do you think they didn't mention some clues due to time constraints? I'm thinking "The Mole will Break You" note in the little gnome was definitely a clue, since Bill did break the gnome during the relay race... but they didn't mention it. Are there more blatant Bill clues that were left out?

The clue sabotage summary took about 10 minutes (because of the commercial break), it was a bit rushed.

It was great, but over all I wanted MORE!

I loved this too.

For those of you who may have missed it: Bill wanted to help out Heather by pointing out that it wasn't that difficult to figure out where the mole was seated because "I always sit in the same place" ... but then he caught himself as he said "same" ... and ended up uttering the line above!

And it may have been that slip which allowed Heather to eventually intuit that Bill was the mole.

As the old saying goes: Loose lips sink ships. It is probably very difficult for a Mole to go all that time without slipping up a few times.

I agree that they didn't show every clue that pointed to Bill or go into greater depth with his sabotages, but I agree if the show lasted a little longer, they probably would have touched on more.

Examples I caught but weren't mentioned include:
The Gnome Home game: Bill also subtlely sabotaged this one when he took off on the bicycle immediately after scoring the soccer goal. He "forgot" to take the Polaroid picture after scoring the goal, so he ate up some valuable time by doubling back to take the picture (if I remember correctly, all 3 legs of the race had to be completed within 30 minutes).

Anderson's Fun House: In addition to the prominently featured ships (referring to Bill's career as an Admiral), a saxophone was also on display (the saxophone being one of several musical instruments Bill claims to play).

This may be stretching it, but in addition to the ships and the saxophone at Anderson's Fun House, they also honed in on a figurine of a dancing senorita; this could have hinted at either one of the foreign languages Bill speaks (Spanish) or his favorite food (Mexican). But then again, since each brief flash pointed to him, maybe it was intentional.

I'm not sure if the producers intended this, but another one not alluded to during the finale was at the end of episode 10, after they asked each of the remaining contestants if they were the Mole, they did a quick frame by frame of each player:

WHO...... Dorothy
IS...... Al
THE...... Heather
MOLE?...... Bill

The word MOLE appears on Bill's picture

30. "When was this filmed?"
Was the reunion show filmed??? Was it done when the season ended officially or was it filmed a few weeks ago? Katie looked like she lost some weight and Dorothy's hair was longer (which makes me think a few weeks ago). If it was done a few weeks ago, we can look and see whether or not Heather still has a ring to try and validate the rumors that she is no longer engaged.

Also, can we assume that the players either get info on how many answers they got correct or how long it took them to take the quiz or something after they take a quiz? I don't know how much of the quiz results/info they get after each time that they take it. I think we can assume that they get how long it took and maybe how many they got right??

I think both of these would be incorrect assumptions. I don't think the players are given any info after a quiz -- except for who got eliminated and whether there was a tie. If they knew how many they got right, they could answer, say, four questions with Elavia, three with Dorothy, two with Heather and one with Bill -- and know with 100% certainty, based on the number they got right, who the mole was (as long as they survived execution).

An example: Heather knew the mole wasn't Dorothy because she and Katie answered all their questions the same way, and Katie got eliminated in a tie vote. Thus, she concluded that she and Katie had tied for last, so Dorothy wasn't the mole.

Where is everyone getting this awful rumor about Heather no longer engaged? I truely hope this is just a rumor and have no basis in truth. Because I really like the way she played the game. She doesn't sabotage the game on purpose, and doesn't take the exemptions when given the chance a couple of times (once during the prison game, other during gnome game) and at the end she willingly allied herself with Dorothy which ultimately cost her the game. I hope she at least get to have a happy marriage since she didn't get the money at the end!

I was just over at the Mole message board on ABC web site. Someone stated that Heather was on WGN radio last night (Aug 9th). She confirmed that she did break up with her fiance. So we can lay rest to the speculation on whether she's still engaged based on whether she's still wearing a ring or not.

53. "oK!"
here goes. i read this thread only after it reached an imense size *pounds side of head with palm of hand "stupid, stupid, stupid"* so i will address all issues i wish to comment on in this single post.
first, i really like the post about looking at who knocked out who. i found it intriguing that Bill (the MOLE for gosh darn sakes!) was not included in everybody's list. Darwin definitely contributed to Al's execution, probably more-so than Dot and Heather. Darwin is the one who convinced Al via their colalition that Bill could not be the mole. Darwin planted that seed of doubt, D and H watered it. i am 90% certain that Myra voted Bribs, not Dorothy, so Bribs should be on her list.
As for questions to when the finale was taped. i found in an interview somewhere that it was taped in October.
