1. "Interesting pieces of the interview:"
LAST EDITED ON 08-16-02 AT 01:13 PM (EST)

Who were you gunning for?
Dorothy:
The first quiz, I went straight for Bob, which is funny, because he was the first player executed. Then I tried taking the quiz in a way that covered the most players. Then after Bribs and Heather, it was Bill.

LMFAO

So what exactly happened with that boar?
Heather:
Well, it's pretty funny, the reason I ended up off that road. I know people were probably asking "why doesn't she just follow the road or use that GPS." The problem is the arrow on the GPS shows you how the crow flies, and in that direction was a drop-off from a cliff. And I thought, because the game is the game, there had to be an alternative way that was a lot easier, so I thought I'd go east or west to get a ride. I ran into this American family that was staying with a relative from that town, and they knew the area really well. I showed them where I had to go, and they told me the only way to get there on a road without trekking through the forest was to take this little dirt road. So I did that, and that's how I ended up at the bottom of this ravine, and it was too dark to see what I was doing. At that point, I really was completely lost, I was so determined not to quit because I had just lost a hundred thousand dollars in the snake game, and I was so tired. It was the first time I ever felt in danger during the game. There were two cameramen with me, neither one of them had anything other than their cameras and a cell phone, and we were so far down and away from anything. If we were in trouble, we were in trouble. That's when I started pleading with them to help me. They told me they needed to hear me say I quit before they could do anything, and at that moment I hear a growl over my left shoulder. I never saw the boar, and they grabbed my hand, pulled me out and we ran off. We found out later from the locals that that would have been a wild boar. It was pretty scary.

Still doesn't explain the hand over the camera...but cool to finally hear it from the horse's mouth.

Dorothy, you showed no emotion when you didn't get to spend time with your mom. Were you really upset?
Dorothy:
I was upset, because I knew it would have meant so much to my mom to have that experience with me, and it definitely would have been a welcome break during that time of stress. I definitely had to make an effort not to show emotion. I was definitely tearing up, you just can't see it. I did not want anyone to see anything. I was probably a little obsessed with not giving too much away through my emotions and reactions.

As we all suspected...

Bill, what should players look for in trying to spot the Mole?
Bill:
One, to be the Mole, you have to absolutely sabotage the games. What you have to look for is if one person, one way or another, repeatedly screws up. In this game, people thought all kind of people were the Mole, but look at the results: there were only about four people who screwed the games up, and everyone else tried like mad to do a good job. So if your suspect hasn't lost a lot of money, that person is not a suspect, because the Mole has to lose money, period

um...IN YOUR FACE, Bribs campers!!!!

Cyclehausen, if you would just join us in OT, you could join in the insanity! I'm sure fading out of existence and then re-emerging affects your superpowers.

What did you think of the online sleuths?
Bill:
I think the online audience is so much sharper than the folks that put the clues out there thought they were. They picked up the clues so fast! The online audience was awesome. They're incredible.

He's dead on.

10. "RE: Clutching At Anything We Can Find"
Couple of things we have been wondering about around here, finally answered...

Did you play the Lie Detector game straight?
Bill: I actually knew all of the answers to that one, and could have sabotaged it at any time. If Heather had not chickened out and blown the $100,000, then I would have gotten those three right and cost them the $30,000. There's got to be money in the pot, just not too much money.
-------
Dorothy, would you like to take this opportunity to thank Bill for the extra hundred-thousand dollars in the final game?
Dorothy: Of course! That was a very nice gesture on the part of the Mole. I think he felt bad for me.

Bill: There's three reasons I did it. The Producer asked me why I did it, and it was my choice. Number one, I had just done what I thought was the game that was most fun other than Evader, and I had just hiked six-and-a-half hours, I was sweaty, my shirt was torn, I was bloody, and I had just fought me way up a mountain. And it seemed like a lot of effort to get there, and in spite of the fact that I was supposed to read the dossier, I decided not to do it. Second, with no ill respect to the other players, I thought Dorothy and Heather had played the best game. The results showed they did, and I felt they deserved getting paid for it. And three, it was my last major Mole trick, and that was everyone would expect the Mole to take the money, and I thought I would deflect suspicion away from me and back on to Dorothy or Heather. And I've heard from many fans that that's exactly what happened. It was reverse psychology, and it worked.

--Bert
